"Sugarbabies" / "Arrangements" Amateurs or Not?

So I've signed up for another month of SA and I've been spending quite a bit of time trying to get lots of phone numbers before the month is up.

In addition to all the other red flags on Seeking that indicate a probable fake profile there's one more now, I believe: the two (occasionally three) word screen name. It's not 100% all the time a perfect tell (kind of like Virginia, Virginia usually indicates a fake profile, but sometimes not), but this is another data point to add a profile to the "suspect" list.

This is usernames like "HumorousHottie", "SmokeyBaby", "FlirtyLover", "FunAngel", "StylishChick", "FavoriteForeign" "EasygoingDame", "CheekyVenus", "StylishDiva", "BraveLover", etc. (many of these are "girls" who have favorited me out of the blue usually without reading my profile).

More often than not these profiles have above average TGTBT pics specially designed to look "natural" and a sparse or poorly written bio section. I think there is a group operating on SA that is using this pattern (or software) to create usernames for fake accounts all over the place. This, combined with other tells is a red flag that you may be inviting a scam or simply wasting your time.

If I'm stating the obvious, forgive me, but maybe this info will help a few guys not get taken to the cleaners.

Well, it happened for the second time. I've been suspended!! Right when my account was renewed too took the membership Then suspended me.

When women enroll in the site, the site gives them a choice of one from column A, one from column B choice to create a profile name. I think they did this because too many women were using uncreative profile names that led back to their PII. I look for three tells: age in the early 30's, ethnicity as mixed (to Asians all Americans have mixed heritage,) and indicating they are looking for True Love. Pictures in an elegant setting help close the deal. All these indicate a crypto-scammer. Language in any communications usually confirm the case.

BAM.[/QUOTE]Oh, wow. I didn't know that the site prompted women with the "column A / column B" naming thing. You may be right, and this isn't a reliable indicator at all. Maybe there are just a ton of fakes. Are guys prompted with the same naming tool? My profile on SA has been around since Seeking was Seeking Arrangement (I just usually keep it dormant), so maybe they've evolved since I joined up.

Of course, it's not 100% guaranteed to be a fake account, just like "Virginia, Virginia is occasionally a real person, but I think it's a red flag and should make us suspect. If I go through my inbox, the ONLY real humans I am talking with have screen names that DON'T follow that formula. The ones WITH names in that format send messages like this (this one from an account called ObscureNerd):

This person is obviously not a native english speaker, and likely not even a girl. It would be rare for a girl to say something that explicit in her first message.

Whether that bot is a translator or truly fully auto, I dunno.

IK there are tech types who read here, my? Is about what is unsafe about my personal cell phone (not my burner phone) when I am out of pocket seeing a SB. On all the police procedurals, they are locating people instantly by where their cell phones are pinging. Is this capability available only to LE? Never my SO? IK that some people (sadly) have an iPhone w / a FindMyIPphone app on it, and that likely inhibits them from meeting up w / SBs where they aren't supposed to be. Also, are there records kept (I guess by your cell provider) of where the phone was pinging at all times?

Can my SO in any way shape or form track where I have been based on my cell phone? Should I therefore turn the dam thing off before I go off my well-trodden path to meet up w / a SB?

However, getting that info from Google is very difficult. LE can obtain it via a search warrant. Not your SO. LE have apprehended people this way when there are no other leads. E. g. , a string of pharmacy break ins at night. Across multiple states. LE sent a search warrant to Google and identified the perps because they had their smart phones with them when they pulled the heists. Idiots, but I guess that goes with the territory. Needless to say LE will not be issuing a search warrant to Google to catch someone who is cheating on their spouse, LOL.

Your SO can find your phones location if you have "Find my iPhone" turned on and she knows your Apple I'd. I always have that turned off for obvious reasons.

Same thing with "pinging. " It can be done but the phone carriers don't do unless it's a big emergency, like someone's kid is missing. That kind of thing.

I believe you can reduce risk even further by turning off "Location Services" on your iPhone. Then it won't track your location.

Best advice is shut your cell phone off and purchase a cash only burner phone that has the capability to use apps like Text Now for texting and voice calls. A good divorce attorney along with hiring a private investigator can get a court order to subpoena personal cell phone and internet records and activity from providers.
