Ok, I met this girl off SB. She was unusual in the sense that she was (1) close by to me, and I live in the middle of nowhere, (2) she wasn't morbidly obese, and (3) she wasn't obviously a drug addict. Messages went quickly to text and we actually arranged a meet-and-greet for lunch the next day.

Lunch ran into an hour and a half of good conversation with a lot of flirting. Things went swimmingly and she was down for a more private encounter. So we agreed on doing so that coming Friday (yesterday) and I made arrangements for a private place for us to play. We had agreed on what I thought was a fair price for a first encounter ($400) and everything seemed okay.

The next day she texted me and asked if she could borrow $100 against our Friday meeting. That's a red flag for me but I thought about it and didn't consider it that big a deal and was morbidly curious how this would play out. She really wanted me to use CashApp but I told her I was in town anyway and she could just meet me in the parking lot when she went on break and I'd give her five yuppie food coupons. She gave me a quick sloppy kiss in my car and took the money and went back to work.

On Friday afternoon, as I kind of suspected, everything went sideways. First, she wanted to cancel and reschedule for Saturday (today). About an hour later she asked for all of our agreed arrangement in advance, and then said she still wanted $400 for the meeting and "forgot" about the $100 I gave her four days earlier. Then about five o'clock she wanted $1000 to meet, plus another $500 for "disrespecting" her.

So at that point I hadn't responded to any of her messages, but after the last one I texted her and told her I was no longer interested in meeting her and wished her luck with some other guy.

My question: was I out of line? I know it was a mistake to give her the $100, which except for lunch at Zip's that is all I'm out in this and consider that I got off lightly given what a shitstorm blew in yesterday.

I think that doing things like that with SBs is fine later on, but before you've even fucked her? Absolutely not. The answer is you absolutely were not out of line. Blowing her off after she changed the terms and started to act like that is completely deserving of the rejection that you gave her, but just know that she probably behaved like that because you gave her the $100. She probably started immediately thinking that she undersold herself and she too is worthy of the $5,000 platonic dates that the TikTok sugar babies tell them about.

Anyway, we're too seasoned for this to slip up like that. Fortunately, there's no shortage of women in the world but next time you'll remember. Probably.

As it is, look what happened: she kept asking for more and more, and above the previously agreed on amount for a visit of $400. It seems she was trying to scam you.

Lesson learned: unless you know the woman real well (and have seen her before), never, never give the woman any kind of advance. 99.9% of the time, you can kiss the money good bye.

And one more thing: while $100 might not seem that much to take such a chance, it's a lot to me (and I suspect quite a few others).

Anyway, I don't consider the $100 that big a deal. Given that lunch at Zip's for the two of us was less than $35 I've dropped a lot more money on less promising girls on the first date. If you get too stressed about $100 you shouldn't be playing in this sandbox.

And while $100 might not seem like a big deal, if one continues doing that, then it begins to matter financially. If folks want to continue to waste money like that, go for it. If that girl was a "scammer", she was a curiously incompetent one because if she would have played a bit more clever she could have gotten herself a lot more money. My own personal opinion was that she was a bit kooky and panicked and got cold feet.

Can't give out all the details here, but everything is locked down pretty tight by default and anything that is out of pattern for me that isn't previously arranged causes alarms to go off and things to lock down. And to resolve it I have to physically show up at an office to clear everything up. Yes, it can be a pain in the ass.

What throws me about this was I didn't share a lot of personal info, and she came across as pretty legit. She claimed she worked for Cisco, had business cards for Cisco on her luggage tags and a lanyard badge. She also dropped names of people I knew and knew of in that world. The only thing I can think of is that her phone died a couple of times and she borrowed mine and used that to sneak some piece of spyware onto my phone. However, both of the times she did that she did so right in front of me and made a phone call (once on speaker) to her "manager" which sounded like business and didn't mention me at all. Later on when Goldman Sachs security and some feds interviewed me (it was an awkward if friendly interview) I got the impression that she had done this quite a few times before with a similar MO and gotten away clean each time. The major difference with me is that she didn't get away with any money, well other than the $500 or so I gifted her for each night we spent together and a couple hundred bucks spent at the hotel store.

Her description: she was about 5'10", really slender (maybe 125 lbs), late 20's (she claimed 27), blonde hair, bright green eyes. She said her parents were Swedish but she grew up in Texas. Southern accent that sounded legit, but I got the impression from the investigators that she had other accents she used as well.

From what the investigators said, most of her victims were guys working in the tech industry. Most of them were married and pretty high up the executive chain and apparently weren't as paranoid as I am. I can't know but this might have started as some kind of industrial espionage operation but they went indy.

The moral of the story is that there are some scary bad people operating in this world and you need to watch your ass.

Sharing with the community but understand that maybe I got lucky. Anyways I have done sa before a cpl times but wanted to try something new so I joined secretbenefits. Bought a $169 package of credits. Used them all quickly. I had replied to girls messages and sent a bunch with no engagement back which was odd considering many were from people who messaged me first. I decided to just delete my profile and when I emailed them to delete it I mentioned it felt like they were scamming me and without me even asking, they refunded me fully and deleted my profile. This isn't a timely review. I met her in late 2020 when she was active on Seeking. She doesn't seem to be active on Seeking now but is on SB. I chatted with her on there a couple months ago. Can't vouch for how she looks now but she was a good deal less fit than her old pics and profile indicated. That said was certainly interesting, very forward and talked a big game at meet and greet. A few days later we had a hotel date, $300, never mentioned a condom (I don't ask in advance) so busted in her raw. Not a bad time but she didn't quite do it for me and I never repeated. One could do worse.

The major difference with me is that she didn't get away with any money, well other than the $500 or so I gifted her for each night we spent together and a couple hundred bucks spent at the hotel store.

Her description: she was about 5'10", really slender (maybe 125 lbs), late 20's (she claimed 27), blonde hair, bright green eyes. She said her parents were Swedish but she grew up in Texas. Southern accent that sounded legit, but I got the impression from the investigators that she had other accents she used as well.

From what the investigators said, most of her victims were guys working in the tech industry. Most of them were married and pretty high up the executive chain and apparently weren't as paranoid as I am. I can't know but this might have started as some kind of industrial espionage operation but they went indy.

A bit of a time waster. She is legit. I met her at a nice lobby bar in downtown. She said she was just testing the waters, that was like three months ago. We scheduled a car date at (I could be off on the time) 9:30. I had a very, very small window of time. I contacted her about an hour beforehand she told me where to meet her at. About 20 minutes before my arrival, I contacted her and told her I was 20 minutes away. During that conversation, she tried to raise the price of the date by $20-30 (for a BJ, she wanted to upsell to a "better" BJ). I was ready to cancel and go home, but when she got the impression I was ready to bail, she decided that original price she stated was fine.

So, I get to the location about 5 minutes earlier than planned and called her. She said she was there waiting for me, I looked around and didn't see her. I told her that and she said, "Oh, you're there already, I'll be there in 20 minutes". So, I drove around Renton for 20 minutes. I called her after 20 minutes and she once again said she was at the meeting spot. I drove around looking for her and saw no one. She then had me go to a second meeting spot where she was at. When I went there, she had me go to another location where she said she was at (all like a block away from each other). I call her again and she told me to stay at the third location and she would be right there. Well, Renton Police were also hanging out nearby and being a car sitting in the empty lot of a closed business didn't look good. 10 minutes later, I call her and she said, "I'll be there in 5 minutes. ".

At that point, it was about 45 minutes after the time were supposed to meet, so I said, "fuck this" and left. As I was driving off, a very, very large woman was standing there chatting with a man about a block from the where we were supposed to meet. She leaves him standing there and starts walking over to the meeting spot. It was her. She was much larger than advertised and I was pissed that she's hanging out chatting with someone when she's already 45 minutes late.

She then calls me and starts screaming that I'm a game player and she was depending on that money and that I fucked her over. I told her she was 45 minutes late and I didn't have time to wait any longer. I then got text after text saying she was an idiot to depend on me showing up because she knew that I wouldn't. More texts calling me an asshole and that she doesn't leave her place until I show up because of people like me. More name calling, etc. ,. Until I blocked her.
