Disagree due to the ladies' personal situations
The fact that so many women are in the sex trade does not make us a 3rd world nation. We are naive to how prevalent this game has been over the years. Social media only brings it more attention while also making the women who would be doing it anyways more available (when they actually pick up the phone).
I have worked out the economics of it before and a girl who was drug-free and did not have a Gucci-fetish could easily clear $50 K a year tax free by only 'working' three days a week for 2-3 hours. The problem is several of the BP girls are drug dependent, which means their disposable income evaporates every time they need a hit. I have met a few ladies who are now retired from the game who clearly did it for the disposable income, to allow them to buy nice clothes and take nice trips. Throw in a sugar daddy and you are living comfortably, tax free. These women can afford to be more selective with their clientele because the right clientele will pay a premium for what they can offer over the ladies on the other side of the spectrum.
So no, the current status of the sex trade does not make us 3rd world and until women are more openly selling without fear of repercussion, this will not be the case.
Gents, a couple of big questions:
Do you guys feel that our country is moving to 3rd world nation status given the fact that so many ladies (young, middle age, and more mature ones) have taken up the sex trade?
Is this a reflection of an economy that is in a tailspin (very poor economic opportunities)?
This issue haunts me, by the way.
I've definitely heard of the 6 figures range
I have had a few discussions with high end providers that I have known for years about economics. It usually starts when I ask them why are they still doing the humpy bump for a living after 10+ years. Setting aside the usual male issues, (when they pick a guy to really date, it is always the WRONG guy) many of them have commented on the money, approaching or exceeding 6 figures even when they hit the 40's. They net out 5 K a week on road trips and work a couple weeks a month. Yes they have overhead, but the travel circuit is to or near places they want to go. An attractive woman without the monkey on her back, or a man in her wallet can net 50+ based upon what they tell me.
I don't know if you all ever heard of Aussie Amber from south Florida- some years ago. She and husband were arrested for tax evasion or something as she was escorting. I think LEO dubbed the husband as her pimp. Anyway, she was charging between 350-400/ hour. They said she was making 200 k plus per year. Perhaps she was really hustling more than the average girl but it's certainly possible. Though I still wouldn't call it disposable income for most girls, as someone mentioned. To me, disposable income is when one is able to pay his or her normal bills with the income they make from a regular job but they might work either overtime or some other job just to tend to other extracurricular activities. Most people just can't make it on the money they make from regular employment. With a lot of these girls, they don't possess the skill set or education to get the type of legal jobs that can take care of their basic needs.
