Any recommendations for a free texting app? Currently using "Text Free," and that works well and is free. I also have a "Talkatone," app, but after a period of time I started to get a monthly charge.

The call quality in 2 ndLine is the best of any of these apps.
I been using google voice. Gets VM text and can make calls, and it's free and anonymous. The best part is not having to juggle 2 phones

I've been using Google Voice for many years. It's free, and it's been reliable with good sound quality and no ads.

Does all functions of Google Voice plus you can send all calls to voice mail, turn off notifications except when using so they don't pop up at the wrong time and you can get a new throw away number anytime. NSA can probably still monitor comms but not Google. It cost $60/ yr last time I renewed. I don't trust free services. They are making money off you somehow but not upfront about it. I also. Pay for email at [URL]StartMail.com[/URL]. Has a great feature of unlimited alias email address which you can activate for specified time periods. These are delivered to your InBox but without revealing your true email address. Great for using online to get signup promotion discounts and then send subsequent promos to a black hole.
