I was throwing this out there to establish the legitimacy, or illegitimacy, of this provider. No, I haven't done a deposit since I got scammed 4-5 years ago, and I don't make a habit of doing so. If nothing else, others can learn from this $40 mistake on my part. My point is that I made this deposit via a very legit OF page. Seemed traceable, if it did turn out to be a scam. For $40. Relax, brother. Your comments are personal and offensive, like you're the one who shelled out the deposit.

Unless you spoke to her on the phone you don't even know.

No, I don't make it a habit of sending ANY kind of deposit, but in this case based upon what I saw (and my texting with "her, I felt it was justified. I'd have rather forwarded a "tip" via her OF page, rather firing out a Zelle into the atmosphere. That being said, Lolli reached out to me today. She was apologetic. Had an emergency yesterday and had to dash for the day. Whether that's the truth or not, I could care less. Regardless, she said she'd see me sometime soon, and hoped to "make it up to me. " I told her I wouldn't send another dime, of course, and she agreed. Not sure what the meetup will look like, but I'll provide a review once I can. One lesson learned today: don't jump the gun. Everything told me I was scammed out of $40. The amount mattered less to me than the fact I'd been taken, and I know better. Sounds promising, but I'll report back when I can.

You did the right thing by refusing to send another dime. If I may, I would strongly discourage using Zelle or any other electronic form of payment. This hobby is best and safest on a cash and carry basis. Zelle, etc leave an electronic record that could someday come back to haunt you. Just ask Matt Gaetz.

Her and her roommate are doing it to raise money while they're in jail or going through the system to pay off their court debts and to get snacks. A different viewpoint.

Got to her hotel and when she answered the door I said "nope" and left. I feel bad doing that but I got to worry about my health. I appreciate your advice.
