There are a lot more girls who are willing to sell content on OF than there are girls who are willing to escort. Even if OF wasn't a thing, the vast vast majority of these women would not be escorting.
If anything OF may be acting as a gateway into deeper sex work, as it gets girls used to the idea and the "easy" income. Most escorts make more than most women on OF with less time invested as well.
The popularity of OF might be the first big step on the road to legalization of escorting, as getting into sex work becomes more of a norm.
