We as hobbyist have to trust providers, To a point. But there are too many instances of this happening and reviewed here to continuously see the ripped off reports like these. Rule Number 1 - If opportunity presents itself, almost any provider will take advantage of it. Be aware and on point. Personally, I don't see a provider if they ask for me to pay for the room upfront. I have been lucky to have not been ripped off badly. Again, I stay aware and if things seem off for me, I leave or call them out on their ruse. I have had that scam offered all too often, but have not fallen prey to it. As sweet as some of the ATFs are, the all will try some ploy to scam us at least once... So let's stay safe, be aware, report often, and have fun in our hobby.
