The problem being having adequate proof to back it up. Most likely the infected guys are mongers who have had many sex partners, thus it is possible they got infected by someone else.

HIV is not eqivalent to AIDS. They are different.

HIV is a viral infection that may sometimes lead to the syndrome of AIDS, but not always.

I've never seen Gail, thankfully, but she looks healthy in her photo on the newspaper web site. She has an HIV infection, but probably not AIDS yet. They didn't say she had AIDS, just HIV.

And there is some question about causality between HIV and AIDS, as U.C.-Berkeley researcher Peter Duesberg pointed out as early as the 1980's. - Rosco

And I would agree that we ALL should get checked out. I just did last week using that banner add that pops up on here. It was 249$ for a 7 panel test (including HIV) and it's easy. You pay online, print out a form and take to the testing center, 2 or 3 days letter they send you an email saying results are ready, log back in and get your results. Plus, the next time you get tested it's like half price.

I think both of you are correct in one respect or another. The lesson and or point I am deriving from this topic is NO BB anything. It puts everyone in this hobby at risk to all forms of STD's and that does include HIV which leads to probable AIDS. Frankly, based on the STD ranking that STL has, I am surprised something like this has been made public far sooner than now.
