Your order looks about right. #1 and #2 COULD possibly be flipped. #1 has the ambiance of a basement or at least it did.
#2 has the TS and sauna within feet of the entrance. No current experiences with either. I never found #4.
Ok, as I stated in an earlier post a week ago, I finally confirmed with our company travel agent and she does indeed have me flying into Philly by 6:30 a. Way too soon to have a chance to visit Bella's since they open at 10 a. I was looking at several 24 hr locations and was wondering which of the locations others here have chosen at some point. What would be the order of preference for those of you who live in the city?
The choices I'm considering are:
1-Smile Spa which is close to my old FC grounds whenever I was in town.
2-Happiness Oriental.
3-1819 Spa.
4-Hollywood Spa.
With the way my luck is with flights, there is a very good chance I may be able to visit Bella. But if it is actually on time for once, what would be the ranking order of the 4 above? If someone knows a better 24 hr location, I'm all for it!
Thanks. RJ.
Here we go again. ANOTHER visitor who wants to reinvent the wheel! Jeez. I thought you said you read the thread? REALLY? This topic has been beaten into the ground a hundred times here! If you have one shot at Philly AMPs, the odds are in ur favor heading to Bella, period.
So why are you proposing to mess with the "other" places? If you're a visitor your shots on goal are limited, why then risk getting chopped liver when you could be dining on prime rib? Bella is consistently better. Lemme just ask, is yer Johnson so hard as there is no blood flow to the BIG brain even now? Give yer head a shake!
But hey, I'm sure with all of your research you know better than the collective experience of the local guys who sample these places daily.
That said, Spazen IS a local AMP guru, so what he says goes. But I didn't see him saying any of those places measured up to Bella! You even got the word from JGarth who ain't no slouch either. Guru status in his own right. Listen to what he says - Go to Bella!
So can you keep it in yer pants long enough to find a time to visit Bella, or do you need it so badly any hole will do? That will direct where you go when you arrive.
But Gee, here is a novel thought - how about calling Bella and talking to Mamasan and laying out yer predicament? Maybe for a pre-paid "tip" she'd open up with one girl early for you? After all the place IS known for customer service. But you'll never know unless you ASK!
Hey, I'm just sayin'.
Thanks but I guess you didn't read my earlier posts. Bella opens at 10 a but my flight is going to arrive in Philly around 6:30 AM. Exactly where am I supposed to wait until Bella's open when I'm not that familiar with the city? Keep in mind I am NOT staying in Philly while here on business. Once I land, I have about an hour to waste before needing to drive 1. 5 hrs into NJ to where our satellite office is located to start working for the day. Usually I land in Philly between noon - 2 p and would head over to FC. This time, our travel agent flipped it on me and have me coming in much earlier. If I had my way, I would definitely prefer going to Bella's. But since I don't, unless my plane has delays, where would I go to wait 3. 5 hrs for Bella's to open?

I would really prefer going to someplace everyone raves about but they all open at 10 a when I fly into the city around 6:30 a. Not knowing the city, as much as I want to, I don't think I can sit in my rental for 3. 5 hrs while waiting for it to open. Especially not do that and feel safe. Not to mention, I have to be in our NJ office by 10:30 a one and half hrs away from Philly.
Called in the PM and an hour later, Lilly let me in. Katy's super fit, petite, and enthusiastic. Massage soso but TS and CFS awesome!

Apparently you didn't read my post all the way to the end?

Sometimes life works that way and one doesn't get a chance to do everything they want. It would be a bummer to miss BA this trip, but hey it happens.
Hope you find something to do otherwise?
My goodness, your flight gets in at 6:30 AM and 1. 5 hours drive to the satellite office? You could get there for the start of the day at 8 AM! So that should solve you wait time issue. Would getting in early mean yo could finish early and have playtime on the end?
But with weather, flight delays, getting out of the airport and traffic, I wouldn't say one is overly blessed with time with an extra 2-hours.
Maybe there is something closer to the office you could find? That way the drive is out of the way and you have 2 hours to blow. Might be easier to find a Mama willing to open at 8 AM rather than 6:30 AM.
Good luck!
Bella got busted yesterday.
The pride of Philly is out of commission!
What an outrage.
Otoh now Wanderer doesn't have to feel bad about not making it there.
To be honest, I'd be extra careful for a week or so. Why would they bust BA? Any elections forthcoming? A steady body count from North / West / South Philly no longer consumes all their attention? As a Citizen, I want answers! LOL.

I really hope that is not the case here but I do know that Uncle LEO read our forums quite often before busting Champagne in Deptford, NJ last year.
I think the cops were upset about the new "50 minute hour" sessions they were getting at BA too!
The past few weeks the intersection outside of Bella has had utility roadwork going on. There has been multiple days a police officer has been stationed outside to direct traffic. I work the area and have to drive by Bella often. With as much traffic as Bella gets, basically the cops were being slapped in the face. Bella should had been a little more careful. Probably should had closed during the day until the construction was over.
I think the cops were upset about the new "50 minute hour" sessions they were getting at BA too!
LOL. This is the best theory, I believe. Dr Dong is an analyst of stature!
As to the site contributing info, I don't think so. For two reasons: first, le knows more than we do and don't need these sites to learn "the ropes", and second, since the people operating AMPs have no control over what general public may post somewhere online, their business model should include the possibility of anything getting posted.
From what I hear, the usual reason for a shutdown like that is that someone complained. As to Bella getting reckless, this is not the case: they keep a very low profile and even quit advertising on BP a long while ago. They probably felt something going on back then and went "silent". Who knows why they got hit. The first one got shuttered because of a bunch of gubmint morons using their gubmint-issue CCs in there. Is that the level of intellect you expect from professional servants of the people? The answer is yes, regrettably. Maybe they did it again? Who's to say.
Let us pray now, pray for another Phoenix-like resurrection of this great outfit. They did it before, and, god willing, they will do it again. The Philly AMP scene is one of the very few things that still go for it (Philly). Cheesesteaks and AMPs, what else? That's it.

Not a bad theory. How about FC retaliation?
The Philly AMP scene is one of the very few things that still go for it (Philly). Cheesesteaks and AMPs, what else? That's it.
The Pope? Now all someone has to do is put Bella in the news on the same page as a story about the Pope's visit. Then LE might think twice? Maybe?
Sad news about Bella! I was totally looking forward to visiting there for the first time next week. And with Fun City apparently closed, that's 95% of the reviews here going back months (I did my research).
So next week I am visiting Philadelphia for a 4-day conference. I'll have plenty of time to slip out of the Convention Center while pretending to be in a panel discussion or at the exhibit hall. The last time the conference was in your city (2010), I was able to find some great AMPs along Race, as well as one called Blue Moon on 12th where I had a fantastic time. It looks like Blue Moon is no longer there, but I see Pink and Sun Spa are still operating. Is there any other place that I should check out, with the main criteria being the ability to get their quickly and easily from the convention center (short taxi or easy walk)?
1) Sun Spa (Race)
2) Pink Spa (Race)
3) Happy Spa (Cherry)
4) Happiness (Ludlow)
5) 1819 Spa (Ranstead)
I read a report here to avoid Hollywood (202 S. Quince). Any preferences or suggestions considering Bella and Fun City are both off the table?
Quick report on these two places.
1819: Sunny is my go to at this joint. Thin lady. Face is a little on the older side, but her (fake but enjoyable) see's and incredible service is worth it. For some reason, her face and body seem to have two different ages. She also sports a short modern hairstyle, which for me is just a homerun. 7-8/10 looks. 8-9/10 service. Only lady I know in my limited view of the AMP scene that offers BBBJ and likes to go exploring your backdoor.
*facility is shady and not as well kept as it's sisters in the area.
1217: Checked out Sophia. Little larger with a really nice behind for a K lady. Nothing spectacular like some of the girls from Bella, but definitely above average. Service is not as extensive as Sunny from 1819 but her personality and improv ability is definitely her strong suit. Let's just say that out of all the AMP experiences, she definitely puts in the effort to give you a great experience (massage especially). 7/10 looks, 8/10 service 10/10 massage.
You will not be disappointed at any of these places with these providers. If I had to choose, 1819 might win due to accessibility if you're going with a car (Race if you're near the see Center and walking it).

Abouit 1918: this one tends to be on the "mature" side, or at least it used to be (haven't been there in a while, don't know if this changed). But this is very marginal though: all these places are about the same. Also, "mature" is not necessarily a criticism; it depends on what you're after. "Mature" may not look as "hot", but they know what they're doing and tend to be more accommodating. So, whatever lifts your, um. Luggage.
