A decision has to be made on whether I want to go through the trouble and scrutiny of firing my weapon, especially if it leads to death. Just firing your weapon because it is justifiable is not what carrying a weapon should be about. I do not feel a need to put my career and family at risk just because I wanted to teach a punk a lesson. It was well worth the hundred plus bucks to walk away then deal with the aftermath of standing my ground. Hell, it would've cost me 10 x that much just to hire a lawyer to represent me. And that's even if I DON'T get charged with a crime (which honestly is unlikely. It was 3 am and it was dark, but she was only 3 parking spots away from me, I got a fairly good look. When I saw her I was pretty certain I was in the clear and I was about the be brought up.
