It would be fascinating to actually explore the issue in depth using the data available and include major religious belief systems and Humanistic Value Theory. And then there's a whole world of cultural values that vary widely and somewhat independently of religious values.

I had a dream during lunchtime today where I met up with Sarah. TravelersTl1's description of her is accurate. Great hygiene. She had freshly showered. I am a paranoid, I admit it but my instincts have kept me alive and free on 3 continents so when something strange happens, I don't ignore the voice in my head.

I've "hung out" with Sarah a few times now and it's always been hassle-free fun until today. Twice, she (or someone from her phone) texted asking me to come over. The first time, I was greeted in front of her place by a heavily accented, dark skinned dude who claimed that she was at the store, he had told her I had arrived and that she would be right back. I was early as is my habit so I wasn't fazed; then he indicated that he had her cell phone; I wondered to myself how he could have spoken to her if that were true. I kept that thought to myself and said I would run to the store too and be back shortly. I took my ass directly home. She never texted or called to ask what happened.

Hours later she (or someone from her phone) texted again saying she was home and wanted to see me. Mildly curious, I drove to the area again, and texted saying I was 10 minutes away. When I was 2 minutes away, I called and a different guy answered. Very well spoken, very "white" sounding, very not the first guy I met and very much not a junkie or pothead. And he gave me the same script; she had gone out to the store and would be right back. After we got off the phone I texted asking for her to call me. Shortly she did call from a different phone and was CLEARLY distressed. She was "just up the street" and would be free to see me soon blah blah blah. I have not heard from her since. A couple things were clear:

1. She did not have control of her phone.

2. She was not free to come and go from where she was.

Sometimes paranoia is just paranoia and drama is just drama. Sarah was dealing with some family drama today and has resolved any lingering doubts to my FULL and Complete satisfaction.
