The cc swipe for deposit purposes will never show on your bill.

Most hotels will take a cash incidental and give it to you at checkout.
This prevents them trying to be funny (which happens) and make a charge
It's called fuuz dot in. You can check a phone number, the local ads, pictures and even cross reference the ads that have been posted. Most of the stuff there is from BP, but it is a handy cross reference.
For instance, I have been looking at an ad for a girl on Fairbanks, but every time I get ready to pull the trigger, the name changes, or then the name stays, but a totally different looking girl appears. Makes me very nervous. This site lets you see the whole history with out a ton of manual searches.

This hold shows up online if you check your online bank statement / pending transactions, and its up to the banks on how fast they release the hold after checkouts.

Lately there have been guys report how a girl's place or her smelt like smoke. This is great information because for some of us it is a deal breaker.
