I've written MULTIPLE posts over the years with a variety of advice to help guys get better action off of CL. I'll copy/paste some of them from past years. There are more if you take the time to look. Or try searching the thread for such words like writing, tips or advice etc and some of the older ones will pop up.
Basically, if they don't open your ad you have ZERO shot. A million guys will write that they love to eat pussy etc. An ad like that is just a needle in the haystack. A catchy title works the best at getting the initial attention. I also usually have them change the subject line to something different than the title to try and weed out the spam (or the dummies that don't read LOL).
WHEN you post affects your success as well. Both the day of the week AND the time of the day as well. Most people are looking on CL for RIGHT THEN not days later. Most only look at the recent ads. A few do search or remember a really good ad but most of the time it's the FRESH ads that work. If you're looking for a young cute college girl Friday and Saturday nights work well since no classes BUT a midday post when finals are over (they're looking to vent or celebrate) works great. Also if you know when either tuition or rent is coming up and they NEED money asap you can score some gems.
