Don't Pay Before Meet - Scam - What got me
Bambam,
I have been good about scammers for many years.
What got me in this case was her (maybe his) willingness to walk away. When I said no, he / she was like "fine, I offer a great value, I host. You will save money... Bye".
Normally, scammers stay with it, keep trying to convince you. See attachment for the exact text. There is nothing to identify her there, should be safe to share.
Lesson Learned.
We all, from time to time, suffer lapses in judgement or just decide to take a chance. I feel for you brother. However, I think we all could benefit from hearing what story she spun that lured you in and lowered your defenses. Can you share more details?

Clever Scammer, But Not Too Clever
Bambam,

Lesson Learned.
Don't fall for negative psychology. No legitimate provider wants money up front, or, if she does, she isn't worth the aggravation anyway. NEVER EVER pay a SB until the panties hit the floor. You have all the power. The money is in your wallet until she delivers.
You mentioned that you paid for this with PayPal. In that case your scammer was stupid. Get your money back. Dispute the charge. The seller has 10 days to respond. No response? You get your money back. If this "seller" responds and says the charge is legitimate, escalate it to a claim. Your "seller" will have no proof that they delivered a product or service, and it is very highly unlikely this seller will have registered for seller protection like a legitimate seller would.
