Sorry, Boomer. Late to comment on this. I actually prefer hotels with Lobbies. I don't like going to places with outside room access (motels) primarily because I don't know who is watching and where they're watching from.

As others have stated, in mastering the Lobby approach, blending in is the key. If I have to wait for a text from a provider, I will wait comfortably in the Lobby seating area looking at my phone (as everyone else does). No cloak and dagger disguises.
