Whenever I want to see a provider,because of my work schedule,I will normally call in the early afternoon say around 2-3 p.m. and let that provider know that I am interested in seeing them later on that evening around 9pm. Now here is where I want your opinion, I will call a second provider and also let them know that I MAY be interested in seeing them that night. I never tell them that it is a definite and I also tell them that I will call them by a certain time if I am going to see them. The reason that I do this is because 1. I am hours away from seeing someone and in case they have to make arrangements I want them to be ready 2. I can't count the times that I have been stood up by a provider 3. Well, you're the first (and so far only) monger I've ever heard of who's ever used such a system. I'll definitely call it "unique" until/unless a whole bunch of mongers pipe up here and say, "Yeah, I do this all the time."

Generally, I've never had problems with being stood up by a provider. Maybe it's just luck, but I can't recall any times I've had a legit same-day cancellation for an appointment, either (legit--sudden illness, car trouble, etc.). I've had one or two cancellations from traveling providers when their schedules have changed and they've decided not to visit here, but that's never been a last minute change; I think the shortest notice I've had in that case has been 3 days.

I'll be interested in seeing the provider feedback. I'm not sure that if I were in the practice of keeping a "utility infielder" in reserve I'd want providers to know about it, myself, but hey, we'll soon find out how they feel about this.

If there is a provider I plan to see I will call her 1 -1.5 hour ahead to let her know its showtime. If I know it will be longer than that I won"t call until its gets closer to that time. I do this because most providers that I see are just incapable of sticking to dates further off than 1.5 hours. They can be on the other side of town or out of town and usually the lady won"t acccept a date unless it within 1.5 hours and will tell me to call when I am ready. I think its good to call because I hate to show up and the girl looks like she been playing basket ball or doing laundry. I like for her to dress for the occasion with the heels and lingerie. The next morning (at her request), I called her (about 5 hours before "showtime") to confirm. By mutual agreement, I called when I was leaving my apartment (about a 20 min drive), and I did the standard "call to get the room number" when I arrived at her incall location. So about three phone calls the day of the appointment, which didn't seem unreasonable to me.

If my schedule cooperates, I'm going to be traveling Saturday to meet a lady who's been on my radar. In this kind of situation, I usually confirm via email (or phone if the lady requests it) the day before. I'll then call the day of the appointment to confirm--often, that's as I'm leaving the Memphis area, so she knows I'm "committed" to the trip), and of course I'll call her shortly before "showtime" to let her know what the room number is.

So far, that's worked for me. I'd say whatever works for you and the lady in question is good.

I don't see a problem with it as long as you don't expect the second provider to hold a spot open for you. If you were to call me with that request, I would ask you to let me know asap if you would like to confirm, but also let you know that I will not be holding that spot open for you. Trust me, providers understand how annoying it is to be stood up, it happens to us all the time too. Hope that helps.

I completely understand your way of thinking. I usually don't do that, but have in the past if it's a provider that I know can be flaky or undependable. Won't mention names as most of us know the ones that can do that. I would do the same process of setting something up for the later on hours but call others to check availability and see if I can call upon them if I can get away etc. I don't think I would take it as far as setting up two appointments and then picking whichever one I got ahold of at that time first. Don't think thats what you are saying either. That would be inapropriate.

It's a tired old board axiom, but if you do your research you can eliminate a lot of these issues. I had an encounter early in my hobbyist career, and a few a little later, that taught me that a lot of these girls are simply unreliable and aren't particularly concerned about punctuality or showing up at all. Since then, I always do a lot of research before I see anyone. The search function on this site, as well as the well known review sites, contain loads of information and detailed reviews about the more established ladies. That's the main reason I have posted detailed reviews on this board in the past. I appreciate any review that someone posts, but simply saying "I saw Escort X and it was a good time, will repeat" tells me very little. What was her appointment system? Was she on time? How was she dressed? What services were offered? Did you get the full allotted time? These are just a few of the questions I always try to answer when reviewing someone, especially for the first time. And yes, I realize some of the ladies don't like us posting all the details, which is why I usually ask her how detailed of a review she wants, as long as it was a good time. If its a bad date, then I'm going to let the board know why. Granted, a lot of these girls are fly by nighters and its tough to find out anything about them. In that case you can always TOFTT. :)
