ST. LOUIS -- Overland city police will be out in droves for the next two weeks looking for drunk drivers on their roads.

It is just one of many jurisdictions in the St. Louis metropolitan area that is participating in the "You Drink & Drive You Lose" program designed to keep drunks and other impaired drivers off the roads and highways.


"Driving while intoxicated is one of the most violent crimes, randomly killing or injuring someone in Missouri every one and one-half hours," said Overland Police Chief James Herron in a prepared statement.

"These tragedies are preventable when drivers make a simple, smart choice not to drink and drive."

I picked up Le-Le at MLK and Arlington the other day. The first thing she did upon entering the car was buckle-up. First time I ever had one do that!

When the seat belt warning buzzer sounds, I always ask the lady to buckle up. Almost all do. But a couple have chosen to buckle the belt behind their back, not using it. Very dangerous thing to do, of course.

In addition to really bad headaches, he sometimes has low-grade headaches that last half-a-day or the entire day. He says they used to last for several days at a time.

Cars should not start unless the occupants are buckled. The technology is called "seat-belt interlocks." They used to have seat-belt interlocks installed in some cars, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was going to require them back in the 1970's, but Henry Ford apparently lobbied to prevent the NHTSA's action, and Congress went along with Ford. Millions have paid the price on the road ever since, and continue to do so. Ford also was successful in delaying the introduction of air bags. He tried killing air bags too, but ultimately didn't succeed there. Still if the bag doesn't deploy, your brain is cooked if you're not wearing a safety belt.

Another good thing about safety belts is they'll keep you inside the car. Otherwise your body could be flung out in an accident.

Haven't really ever had much to report on here since I don't have much experience with SW's but thanks to those that do report as a lot of the information is incredible for someone just getting their start. But that's enough sucking up. So yesterday I head down S. Broadway even though the weather is threatening just to see if anyone is out. No luck first time down Broadway or back up Penn. Had a chance to cruise the SS stroll ~ 1:30 pm on Monday - looking for a new "parking spot" during daylight hours. Took Penn north from Davis and lo & behold, coming the other direction in a beat up Alero were two SW's, the younger blond driving, the older one riding shotgun. At a block or two south of Loughborough, the car in front of me slowed down long enuf so the SW rider could change cars. this whole exchange process took less than 30 secs. The older blonde was thin, ponytail hairdo, prob 35 y/o, with at least one tooth missing. The blonde driver was just slightly overweight and appeared to be 20 y/o or less.

Also got the look from a dishwater blond with some meat on her bones as she bounced up the walk to go into a home. She was kinda cute.

Yes, timing is everything when it comes to this hobby. If I had more time right then, I would have taken Scuuze's advice and just kept driving up & down Penn to score. Seems like there was action aplenty.

I saw 1 BSW and 1 WSW that gave me the wave and 3 or 4 others that I thought might be SWs.

Are there places around there that I could get car service during light hours?

Ok men, I decided to try a SW. Just to see what the excitement/attraction was like. Did some research and decided to try to find Susan. Did the Woodson loop and made several stops at the QT over a copuple of days, different times. Saw what may have been a couple of older BSWs. Nothing else.

I will give it a try now and then again. If any body has intel on where and when to locate her, I would appreciate a point in the right direction.

I worked my way around all three strolls yesterday. SS was dry from 11a-1p with little or no activity but a big fire or something that had the dalmation boys running all over the place. Maybe the sirens scared the SW's. MLK had 3-4 BSW and one WSW with a patch or big bandaid on her chin around Belt. Anyone have anything on this quite cute brunette? Anyway, Warson btwn 9a-11a and 1p-3p was dry too. Seems like strolls were pretty thin with choices yesterday. MLK seems to show the most promise, but not sure the neighbors like the visitors.

I cruised the south side for about an hour and a half today and found very little. I was all around south broadway, penn, mich, up jefferson, and around grand only saw 1 blonde WSW. She was at pennsylvania and upton. Talked to her for a minute. Decided to pass. She looked rough and reeked of alcohol. I could hardly stand the smell from outside the car.

I needed to get back to the office and decided to take one last shot. I took Broadway to Meramec and down to Grand back to 44. Wouldn't you know it found a nice little WSW between Dunnica and Chippewa. She gave me the wave and I turned back around and picked her up on Dunnica. Big problem, I was out of time. She was begging for a quickie, said she needed to get healthy. I told her I had no time, but thought she was cute and wanted to get some digits. Again she begs to work it for me. I tell her I'm seriously out of time. She gave me her number though. She then asked for some money to "help" her out. I gave four singles I had. I told her I would call tomorrow when I have more time.

On the way back to the office I decided I fucked that up and should have just hit it. I called her and to my suprise the number was good. The cute brunette may be Stephanie. She is usually around MLK and Belt or Semple.

Here are a few more odds and ends from my last trip to the Big Lou about 4 weeks ago. On August's first Sunday at 9 PM, I spoke with a SW driving a white car near the south end of Penn. She was probably between 37 and 45 years old, and the name she used was Doty, pronouned with a long "o" like Doe-Tee or dough (not a short "o" like dot / Dotty). She got out of her car and came over, and we talked a bit. Anybody have any experiences with her to share?

Also saw Stephanie working on MLK at about 2:30 PM that Sunday. I think I've seen her working on MLK now during 4 separate visits to St. Louis. She seems to work a lot, kind of like South-Side Lisa. Would be interesting to determine who works more: South-Side Lisa or MLK Stephanie. Stephanie was wearing a cute outfit with black pants exposing her calves and a small black top showing her mid-rift. I talked to her a bit (she has a friendly personality) and gave her some cash.

I also saw the lovely Kim again on that Sunday a few blocks away from Stephanie. I had a great date with Kim the night before.
