After giving them my number for screening, they don't respond back. There's a service called twilio that validates number. Or for an unpaid route, they can try to verify your number with certain services that won't accept VOIP number such as Uber or gmail verification.

Now, I don't know how other phones work, but when I bought it at Best Buy, the sales guy had to set it up for me and asked for name, address, etc. I just gave him fake made-up info and he didn't care. I suppose the smart thing would be to use your fake "hobby name" in this case.

I've heard there are circumstances where you just do that yourself. Bring your laptop to Starbucks, McDonalds, etc and use their free wifi to remain anonymous.

I don't know about the Samsung phones but Apple phones will have logs off where you go and where you have been. This technology BS is getting out of hand. I don't want my wife to know every hooker and strip club I visit down to within plus or minus 10 feet accuracy.

I took an older android in to set up and they gave me a newer one for free and never asked for I'd. When he was filling in the name he just asked and even said it could be any I wanted to give and never asked about an address. I think it was around 20-30/ month depending on data. I believe Boost uses Iphones too, may have to check if the CDMA/GSM will work depending on who the phone was with originally, may need to jailbreak/unlock it.

It depends on a lot of factors: which department is arresting you, which code you're being charged under, whether the cops had a shitty day or happen to be power tripping dicks, and even something as bullshit as the color of your skin. Cook county used to post mugshots online of guys busted for solicitation, and it was basically all Hispanic and black guys with a few foreigners thrown in. If you want to know the actual municipal code or state law, those can be found and read online, as can the SESTA and FOSTA garbage.

I bet you the black and hispanic guys just had no money / couldn't bail out easy. I know the actual municipal codes, but I was looking for some use cases. For example, theres a municipal code for battery charges but if you pay a lawyer and go through the system without having a record you usually get off with a slap on the wrist. Same thing happens with other misdemeanors that "can" give some sort of penalty if the judge decides to throw the book at you. Typical use cases would be nice.

IANAL - (I am not a lawyer) - but I believe in Cook County it's something along the lines of:

It's a Class A misdemeanor (soliciting and / or selling) unless it's within 1000 ft of a school, with a minor or mentally disabled person those are felonies. Class A misdemeanor has a max penalty of $2500 fine and up to 1 year in jail. Repeat offenses used to be a felony but they eliminated that.

You could be ticketed rather than arrested. Ticketing is usually a lesser penalty like up to 6 months in jail, lesser fine, community service, etc.

No idea how one gets ticketed rather than arrested I think it's up to the discretion of the arresting officer.

Oddly enough if you actually go through with the act of prostitution (ie. You actually bone the girl, get a HJ, etc) rather than just soliciting then it's a felony.

What penalties actually get handed down in court is another matter. Courts don't have the bandwidth to make a big deal out of trivial cases so unless you are involved in some real shady shit or have a long rap sheet you'll likely get a slap on the wrist. Or probably nothing at all given that Kim Foxx has been especially lenient she'll let anyone off the hook these days rather than prosecute for minor offenses (ie. She decided that in IL you can shop lift under $1000 of stuff and you won't get prosecuted so cops barely even bother responding to those calls anymore. 😂).
