I've been seeing posts in the past 3 months about people being asked to volunteer for a study. I think it's related to the above post.
"johns" creating brotherhood in search for online sex.
"mongers" help each other find prostitutes, rating them by looks, performance and attitudeby marion friday, jan 11, 2013 | updated 7:13 pm cst.
illinois study finds thriving online marketplace for sex trade. marion reports.
it's no secret that the oldest profession in the world has taken advantage of digital technology, but a new study shows that the men who seek prostitutes have created a sort of online brotherhood.
the chicago alliance against sexual exploitation (caase) monitored a web site called usa sex guide, chat forums for men who buy sex, referred to as "mongers."
the mongers had created a sort of brotherhood, and helped each other find prostitutes, rating them by looks, performance and attitude.
"they've found a community. they are not alone anymore, they are not an individual who is privately seeking something," the study's author, lara said."they feel they have this brotherhood they can turn to for support."
the study also revealed an alarming attitude toward violence, human trafficking and **** girls.
"many are aware they are purchasing sex from **** girls. they still do it," janson said.
it seems like police crackdowns on the streets are working. several posts warned of increased law enforcement, with some of the mongers saying it's led them to reconsider their "hobby."
"what we really want law enforcement to do is stop arresting prostitutes and start arresting johns. we've hard from their own words that is what actually will deter them, if they felt a consequence for what they are doing," caase executive director durchslag said.
They have a 112 page document from this research paper on Mongers and quotes a lot of posts from here.

Those who perform research for a living would refer to this "study" by CAASE as a "Bought & Sold". A group has a pre-determined conclusion on a given topic, and performs a "statistical, quantitative analysis" of data from an information source to support the conclusions already arrived at. Generally this is done by underfunded organizations seeking to establish credibility when they are about to campaign for increased (governmental, public) funding. The "research" is then pointed to as proof of their value, and a primary rationale in supporting the group's request for increased funding. It's also a good mechanism for creating a splash on behalf of a team leader analyst who hankers to ditch the public service gig and hit the book circuit, getting wealthy in the process. No "researcher" respecting of their personal "credibility" would agree to have their name assigned to such an obvious sham, and those who's names appear on the header of this CASE publication should be ashamed to be associated with such an effort labeled as "research". Credibility is as credibility does.
With that said, there is an alternative. Private boards.

Careful out there guys. I foresee an uptick in stings in the area soon.

I agree with this I can imagine once they outreach to city pd it's going to get a bit uneasy. WTF does this have to happen? How were they allowed to take images and quotes from the site? When a user enters it states they cannot take any info without written consentt I hope USA sex guide sues the hell out of this feminist group trying to make the dreaming world difficult.
or violence towards women?
if this site had members promoting violence toward women or the use of **** girls, i'd be long gone from here.
Or violence towards women?
What a crock of shit.
I have been hobbying for fifteen years. I have NEVER seen the crap they refer to. I cannot recall one instance of a woman who seemed scared or threatened or victimized. Are there women who are being taken advantage of. Sure. But there are way more women stuck in loveless marriages or dead end jobs, etc etc.
Men buy sex. Stop the presses. Big fricken deal. There ARE exceptions and rare instances of women being abused so in that case address the abuse not the overall existence of sex. This is like saying the best way to stop mass school shootings is to close schools. I cannot believe some government bureaucracy probably spent thousands of our tax dollars to give these crazed anti-men bitches to perform this study.
