I've never seen them keep trying very long but they might sell your number to another scammer who might send random texts.

Planning a trip to Turks & Caicos for later this spring. Looking for a resource / guide if anyone knows of one. If I remember correctly, there may be an international sister site? There's nothing there to find though. No new reports since 2009. It didn't look like there was much there to begin with. You might be able to get something at one of the massage spas. I wouldn't count on it though. If mongering is one of the reasons for the trip, you'll likely be disappointed.

I think this is the place for this type of question. What is the "no law enforcement" message showing up in various ad forums supposed to accomplish? My understanding is that it carries no weight and there is no obligation for my uncle to identify myself as my uncle. Getting asked it a lot in texts too. But someone enlighten me. What's the point? My more paranoid side says that it could be used by uncle to convince people they aren't dealing with uncle.

There is nothing about these disclaimers or their asking you if you're their great uncle or asking you in a text conversation if you're their great great uncle that protects them or you in any activity between consenting adults. I was wondering if your guys are giving up that information, I'm all about being discrete but I'm wondering what your will to give up to see these providers. There might be one exception in my future but it'd be few and far between. Too dangerous in my mind.

I wonder if the scams involving PayPal, Venmo, etc will end or slow down now that they must report transactions that accumulate over $600 in a year. Maybe these scams will become a thing of the past and weed out the phonies.
