Even if a judge is inclined to believe you, the prosecutor is going to press charges and extort you for a fine and costs, even with a reduced charge, and you're going to be stuck paying for a lawyer. So either way we lose. And, if you stick to your guns and demand a trial, its going to cost you even more because the lawyer is going to charge you thousands and there is no way to recover that money.

Remember, the lawyers are officers of the court. They play golf with the judges and prosecutors and so on. They are all in it together to fuck the people.
