Also, note the relatively small increase in CPI over the period shown in your chart. Inflation is down, much to the Fed's chagrin, as too-low inflation precludes any hopes of inflating away the deficit.

But enough on that. I want to respectfully say that I beg to differ with you on "little to none" of the house fee going to the gal. I believe that a fee of 60 for an hour would typically kick 20 to 30 to my masseuse. Whining to the contrary on her part is suspect, in my opinion, meant to secure a larger tip.

And like you, I disagree with the idea of the standard fee doubling by rights. Anyone who has been around for a while knows that massage and escort rates are way down, even in nominal (not real) prices, relative to ten to twelve years ago.
