I am glad you were able to get some justifiable action in your case but in 99. 9% of the cases the officer just continues with this BS action.

As you see I am new on the board. My post totals will accumulate rapidly here at first, then, after I have "caught up", my posts will be less frequent. I am not seeking SM status by any means. "A car similar to yours was reported on a crime". I did allow a search to show them I had no stolen valuables, while recording with my cell phone, the other cop did not like that an had an attitude. I quoted that this is a public place, this is my car, I can record, and that was the end of that. They found nothing, and just to bugger them I drove 15 under the limit, as they followed me for a mile (that was before the ridiculous law that was passed about driving under the speed limit).

People, we have rights, and unless there is a witness in the car with you, record the encounter. Use your cell phone if it has that capability. In my case I allowed the search because I was alone, and wanted to see what other BS excuse they could come up with while I recorded. Sad to know that those who are supposed to be on the "good side" are lying in order to fill out their quotas while calling us criminals. It is all hypocrisy and double standards.

When I started in the PI business in 1992, pinhole cameras were very expensive for what you got. About a grand and you still need a recording device. Today you can get a wireless color pinhole camera and the receiver for less than 200 bucks. You can get a small camera, mp3 player / recorder for a about 100 bucks.

I was just in the SF Bay Area and a lot of the cabbies are using Square instead of the bulky mounted credit card machines.

I like the idea of providers using them, now I don't have to run to the bank and I also can get points for dreams. And merchants do not have access to personal info since it is all managed by Square.

Already reports of hackers using this product (The Square) and a phone to still peoples card info, pin, etc. Seen a report on Yahoo news a few months back talking about this. Also there is no paper receipt unless they have a computer and printer there close by. A receipt can be sent by email but you would have to have away to check your email right then and their. I will never use the square to buy anything to dangerous for someone to still your info & clone your card. So I would not say it is safe for everyone. LAS VEGAS--Researchers at the Black Hat security conference today revealed two ways the Square payment system, which turns any iPhone, iPad or Android into a point-of-sale credit card processor, could be used for fraud.

Adam Laurie and Zac Franken, directors of Aperture Labs, discovered that they can transfer money from a stolen card into their bank account associated with Square without having to swipe a card through the Square dongle card reader. To do this, they used code written by Laurie that lets them feed magnetic stripe data from a stolen card into a microphone and convert it into a sound file. They then played that file--a series of beeps--into the Square device via a stereo cable which transmitted the data directly into the Square app.

That effectively turns a merchant system that is designed to only accept physical cards for transactions into one that can be used for electronic-only transactions, enabling fraudsters to easily use stolen card data for transactions without having to create cloned cards and go to a store to make purchases or know PINs.

Laurie said he skimmed a credit card himself using a normal skimming device for his test, but he could have acquired stolen credit card data that is available in bulk on underground marketplaces on the Internet. The pair demonstrated the attack in a news conference.

The researchers said they also discovered that the Square dongle can be used to skim data from cards in order to make cloned cards because the devices do not use encryption or authentication. The magnetic stripe card data can be grabbed by plugging the Square dongle into the audio input in the mobile device and Laurie's special code converts the audio into the human readable credit card data.

"The dongle is a skimmer. It turns any iPhone into a skimmer," Laurie said. To clone a card, "now you need less technical hardware to do it and no technical skills at all."

There are plenty of skimming machines available for purchase online, but they are specialized. "This lowers the bar" by giving anyone with a mobile device and a Square dongle the ability to skim a card while pretending to perform a legitimate transaction, Laurie said, adding that "This really takes the hassle out of" skimming.

In their demonstration, which they repeated during a session, the researchers swiped a Visa gift card through a Square dongle to put money into their account, illustrating the ability to use the Square system to effectively cash out gift cards.

"You don't need a card or a dongle to do this hack," Laurie said.

Franken said he had heard that Square was preparing to issue new dongles that encrypt the data. Square representatives did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment. A Square employee who was in the session said he was not authorized to comment.

Laurie said the researchers figured these fraud methods out in February and report them to representatives at Square. But Square didn't see it as a significant threat, saying that there are easier ways to commit credit card fraud and that they can detect fraud through traffic analysis and other methods, Laurie said.

However, the threat is significantly mitigated by federal anti-fraud bank regulations in the U.S. that make it difficult for fraudsters to set up dummy accounts. Laurie said the way around that would be to pay people to use their own accounts to link to the Square system and then transfer the money to the fraudsters, much like money mules are used to get stolen funds to overseas criminals in "work from home" and other online fraud schemes.

If you're using it with a trusted provider, you should have no problems. No dollar amount would ever make me commit fraud, and there are a few other reputable providers who use it. Perks include: Not having to carry cash, the fees are minimal in comparison to the fees paid when getting a cash advance from a credit card, and lets face it, some of you are known to ask for appointments on credit (play now, pay later , and this is the only way to get an appointment on credit with me. I've been using mine for 2 years now, and it has been awesome. The card reader has to be linked to a legit bank account, it does not allow you to link it to prepaid card accounts or paypal. Of course, I don't accept cards on first meeting, but it has come in handy a few times.

The idea behind posting an ad here is to get business. If you are going to include a photo, use one that is current, honest and presents you in the best way. Tiny photos or photos that look like they were taken in a cheap motel on a ghetto cam, just don't cut it. If you don't want to use the nice photographer who posts here, ask a client to take a picture for you. It doesn't have to be graphic.

Many times those professional pics make them look TGTBT. Or those pics are air brushed and hide their blemishes, the true size of their body or tattoos (which are are good to identify the girls in stolen pics)

I don't mind the pics taken in hotel rooms in front of the mirror, self shots or taken by a friend.

It helps them look like a real person that I would probably see in person.

However, I agree with the current pics suggestion. There's nothing worse than seeing a sexy pic only to find out thats how you looked 3-5 years ago! LOL. Take a pic the same day you post an ad, it's not that hard! LOL.

We don't expect these ladies to be perfect or models. We expect you to look as good as your pics and be legit.

As far as the phony pics. Ladies, your best potential clients do research and we talk to each other. We KNoW the fake pics that are floating around with many different names. So STOP IT!

However, I've met a could of sexy young ladies that don't use their own pics for security reasons, but they DO use pics that are very close to how they actually look. I'm good with that too, but be honest with yourself or ask a friend before you post a pic of a sexy woman 5'2 and 125 lbs. If you are CLEARLY 180 lbs and 5'7! LOL
