Do people really do this and does it still work? Don't you have to show evidence of a real relationship and marriage. Wedding invites, join bank accounts or property owenrship or things showing its been a real relationship for a while and not a marriage just to get a green card?

No need for joint bank accounts or joint ownership of property. Take some pictures together over a few months, and either live together, or.

Put her name on a utility bill, add her name to a lease, etc. You will need to know details about her, as they question you fairly hard during the green card interview. The going rate for a fixed marriage varies from around 40-50 K, and is generally paid out over 3 years, until an unrestricted green card is received. My friend is an immigration attorney.

It would sure be a stupid thing to entangle yourself in. The Only scenario is truly falling in love and legitimately marrying her.

Reading the scant details from this article, does it sound like he tried to solicit at legit massage places and, once people / lawyers found out his career much later, started to pile on to get a piece of the pie? I'd imagine if they were actual providers they would keep quiet otherwise they would be outing themselves?
