Several hobbiests have written of enjoying NoVa standard (which we either understand or at least think we know what they mean. FWIW, I know what it means to me and others with more than 150 posts). And for NoVA standard they have been tipping. 8-$.

About once a month I have been taking my custom back to CTM (the place I started). Although I had been a long time client of Sara', I had not seen her in almost a year and had been receiving wonderful relaxing massagi from Yoomy (or perhaps spelled Yumi).
I visited this week. Even called for an appointment. And Sara greeted me at the door (surprise). As MMS, she gets to choose client (assuming client is willing). And so, Sara was my provider (sorry Yum. See you next time).
Great TS (there is no better TS technicians than Sara or Yumi) followed by a very nice soft massagi.
Standard rates et. Al. For the hour contracted. And a nice bottle of cold water to send me on my way.

Sometime in spring / summer2010 management changed and so did ATMB. A new mammasan (Kim) appeared and she was very nice. The girls would (some of them, some of the time) go rather beyond the NOVA standard. Then Kim disappeared and it seemed to me that ATMB didn't actually have a mammasan; the girls did it themselves, or one of them did both massages and assigned clients. I never really figured it out. Massage quality went down, but extra services became more available, if pricey. I quit going there in March because I was tired of the relentless upsell and tip negotiating, which NEVER used to happen at ATMB. I understand Kim is back and things may have changed.
One of the places I switched to was 4 Seasons. Never had a bad experience there. The massages have always been 7-8 on a 10 scale (with May, Sara and Sunny) , ending has been NOVA plus. I have mildly and politely tried to see if more is on tap, but it does not seem so. As noted below. 4 Seasons is nice, clean, good rooms, the only negative a long stroll to the TS.
So, I'd say 4 Seasons, but my ATMB info is a bit out of date.

I've somewhat followed the same guidelines, but found 'Speak into the Mike / BJ' more expensive (80-100). I go 60 if they drop the clothes or DATY.
To add to Sleazebum's comments, a number of us appreciate the providers that don't hassle or upsell us for a tip. Please don't short-change the girls that don't hassle or upsell us; they will gradually start disappearing and avoid you. If I don't like their service, I personally tip to the standard rates and don't go back. If I do like their service, as PA indicated, 'be nice & treat them right; then, everyone can smile'.

Been away from AMPs for a while. Thought I'd give it a try again, after a few years of doing other things. Saw girl 5" short, late 20s, with nice trim body, probably A cup. Have been a regular at MWC for the past year. I've tried other places in the area but I always come back to MWC. Would really like to see Julie come back but have been very happy with Penny. I've regularly visited one and I know for a fact she's from Japan because I speak Japanese with her and she doesn't have a Korean accent. And she's familiar with Tokyo in a way only someone who has lived there would know. Could she be of Korean descent who grew up in Japan? Sure. But so what? If you don't go for FS, then your comparison to LMt's in Tysons is irrelevant. I don't have the hairy issue like you and I've never had any issue with any other providor except Chinese.
I already described the problem in my report and am warning others. If you think it's an issue with Me, then you contribute.
For the $money I'm spending, the Chinese providors are done! As is the case with toothpaste, dry walls, Take-out Seafood, DVD's and TV's. T-Shirts, socks and Dim sum are still "in" but any big purchases or life threatening products or services are "out."
Korean's, Thai's and Latina's are all getting paid, Viet's and White's are a "maybe" depending on their attitude and Price. Don't like it, to bad. Tell your sister to improve the service or get out of the business. Done.

This no roaming issue I encountered on my visit to the fruit next door few weeks ago was a buzz killer.

Saw the ad for Evergreen Wellness. After calling the place and found out it's a Korean-owned place, I figured the chances of bad service increased from 40% to 60. I said to myself, eh, why not, let's give it a try.
Located in an older office / clinic building, Evergreen Wellness is pretty discreet. Went in, greeted by the mamasan (I'm assuming because she is around her 50s). Went to the massage room, got the 1/2 hour hard tissue massage for. 6. After about 20 min did the usual tingling stuff and ask me to flip over. After flipping, she went ahead and did her business. I refused to pay extra for a simple tension release so I only tipped. 1.
On the ad, it says you can choose staff. Yeah, whatever. The only AMP that I've been to that's really "the bomb" was in Atlanta. PM me if you want to know the name.
Massage: 3/5.
Service: 3/5.
Extras: 1/5 (I am a lot younger than she is, she should tip me!)

I second that! Stand your ground, and I find that if you SMILE big and hold the smile when you hand them the 40, they can't be mad (at least not for long). I've jokingly asked for half back when they have complained, and she ends up smiling with you. Just my. 02.

I celebrated my birthday this week.
Had a wonderful visit with my ATF. She even gave me a present (very unexpected. Very kind of her).
A great TS (as always) , a superb massage (as always). And as always, a totally great experience that is always scored 9. 5 or higher for as long as I've been seeing her.
For those hung up on numbers, on the FBAS scale, she is a 9. 9/9. 9/110. 9/221. 9. And I only rated the 9. 9 sections 9. 9 because you won't believe me, and my scale is different than yours. But, for me she has been just about as perfect as perfect gets for going on two years now.
The AMP. Well, that is why I titled this "problematics"
The facility is great. Good parking, perhaps not as discrete as some places, but I have never been uncomfortable visiting.
The rooms. Two are excellent. Very large, bordering on plush, the other four are smaller but really OK.
The towels / linens. Well, I've never had a reason to think anything was ever reused (I. E. Everything new for each client).
The TS. Great. I love the TS here. I do know one other place with a better TS area, and one that gives a 12-rated TS. But it is great.
THe management. Ah, now to the problematics. The MMS keeps changing. And I think several may rotate around different places. For this visit, I brought with me two baskets of fruit (citrus and others). I do this on "festive occasions" as a "thank you" to the house (and all the ladies). Because the MMS keeps changing, she doesn't know is is uncommon for anyone to bring gifts for the house.
MMS did not ask about my birthday (last year, the MMS knew me well enough to know it was my birthday, to know how often I had appointments, and therefore, gave me a 50% house discount last year on my birthday). This year, MMS said thank you. 1-hour? 80-dollars.
Sigh, we all want to think we are so special.
So it goes.
To the brethern that are only focused on their last one or two minutes of the visit. Their are less expensive hobbies.
For those unhappy with the standard rates. I understand your complaint, but the price of everything varies by regions. Has always been the case.
For those that think my posts are too long and give too little information. I am surprised you read this sentence. But please read one more.
Always be nice to the ladies. And since you won't know her birthday, give your technician at least some kind of bonus tip on YOUR birthday (most likely you do the same for your barber).

Castle was closed so I drove past Prince (Open) to CTM. Yumi met me at door after I called ahead 5 minutes prior. I always get the best TS's from the mature providers at CTM. They pay a lot of attention to clean the right places for an extended time. Back in the room I got not so much a massage as a long tease session. Finish was Russian instead of NoVa, a nice change. Damage. 8+.6. Recommend if you are ok with older providers. I will keep looking for the same level of service in a younger provider.
