Me and some of the boys went to blow off some steam at curves Friday@10ish. Place was packed. We got seated at one of the smaller stages and enjoyed a good mix of ladies. I got a few dances from the servers which produced a couple numbers. I also connected with Mercy. Didn't go VIP even though she tried but she suggested take out. Ill have to repost and let you know the results. Take out is def available so check your menu!
My guess is that the basis for this whole experiment is for the club to be able to argue even more strongly that the girls are independent contractors and not employees. There are several court cases going on around the country that are challenging the notion that dancers are independent. The IRS has several criteria used to evaluate whether a specific arrangement constitutes and employee versus contractor, and if the dancers are supposedly setting their own prices, this supports the independent contractor argument. This is important to club owners, primarily for tax reasons, but also for things like worker's comp insurance which they would presumably have to provide to "employees". They will figure out a way to deal with the low tipouts, probably just a flat, inflated house fee.
Was there on a Monday afternoon. Six customers including me. I waited 25 minutes and never saw a dancer except the one on stage rotation. I know there were dancers there because they kept showing up on stage but then they disappeared. I left. This place is a complete bore. And $6. 75 for a soda? Seriously?
Just rec'd a strange message from a dancer at CS. She said the club was closed? Anyone know details?

K4me[/QUOTE]I was in the area and swung by CS late this afternoon to check the report. It was closed and there is not any sign on the door to explain why. The parking lot was empty and there was not any sign of construction or renovation work. Certainly strange and sudden. Anyone know why? Seems to not be planned since they were in the middle of promoting a "stripper contest" for the season.

Got word CS was closed yesterday and today. A sign on the door says they will reopen Friday. I just got a call from a dancer friend who says that management contacted her and said the club won't open on Friday either.
Several rumors surrounding the closing. One is that they are closed due to liquor license compliance. Another rumor says they are closed due to a new owner. I'm not sure if they are referring to the current new owner or if it means a different new owner (Bunny Farm owners have been mentioned). Word is that negotiations are not going well in either scenario which is why reopening is a day-to-day situation.
Whatever the reason, dancers and staff are out of work at Christmastime with no end in sight. Not a good thing.

My understanding is that the new ownership is in and decided they need to do a little housecleaning and remodeling, which will include the aforementioned cameras from a previous post. Several dancers will recently let go and a particular doormen was being looked at by the new management for accepting gratuities from dancers for ignoring their transgressions. They required this gentleman to provide them a list of all dancers that have tipped him in the past so there may very well be a significant workforce turnover soon.

D DOg[/QUOTE]It could be closed for remodeling but my source says they wouldn't close the week before Christmas and put all those people out of work. They said hat remodeling will begin in January. And, yes, cameras are going in.
It may be more of the housecleaning issue for the new management to weed out some of the dancers whom they find less desirable to keep on at the club. Hell maybe they didn't get the liquor license and are totally screwed.

[/QUOTE]If you follow this link, the input information is from last July. This is from last summer when we all knew that the license was "pending". I suspect it takes at least a month for the current situation (IF there is one) to get posted on this data base. Its not like these agencies update their information very fast.
Is there a good explanation of the current situation that isn't just hearsay?

CS is still closed.
Saw a "bouncer" get upset with a customer who complained about a dancer charging 13 bucks for a dance and then took a 20 and ran away. The dancer then told the bouncer the customer had a camera and the bouncer pulled one out of his own pocket to frame the customer.
It was hilarious. The customer was pissed. Don't be surprised if the club gets raided.
Used to live in Tucson years ago and used to be a regular at the boat and been to CS a bit and the bunny ranch when it opened (and god I miss the Emperess, knew a few girls there personally). This was of course years ago. I will be visiting soon and see from reading the forum that things have suffered. Is there anywhere worth going nowadays? Don't need extras just dances and dancers that are worth the money.
