The original post that generated this shit storm was someone saying he was concerned about being arrested if a cop saw a known SW jump into your car unsolicited.

No one is suggesting picking up a SW directly in front of a cop (actually you are), that is like poking an uncaged bear, unnecessary as you do not know what the bear is going to do. Whether a cop pulls you over then and takes the effort to arrest you depends on many many factors we have no control over. How he was feeling that day, whether he's a fresh rookie or veteran, whether elected officials (including the commissioner) has some mandate to remove drugs and prostitution off the streets, whether local residents have been complaining about drugs and prostitution in their neighborhood, etc. Veteran cops know that arresting dope boys, SWs or johns is like building a sand wall on the beach to prevent the tide from coming in and is not going to eliminate the oldest profession in the world or the drug problem. Everyone will be back on the streets in short order. Besides, it is a lot of work, they have to drag your sorry arses in (both you and SW), call for a tow truck, do all that got damn paperwork, even show up in court later and it is still debatable whether the charges will stick. A lot of work for a drop in the ocean. Also all these things keep them away from what they like to do best, drinking coffee, eating donuts, cruising the streets, looking omnipresent and behaving like a modern cowboy. Would they do it in a specific instance? Who knows, they might have a bug up their arse and one or more of the above-mentioned factors may be true, or, they might want to just put a scare into you to stay away, a nice happy medium for them as they achieve most goals without too much effort, at least for the immediate future.

Back to the original post that generated this shit storm. None of us like SWs to choose us, we want to choose the SW. It's like hunting, how much fun would it be if the deer picked you and walked up in front of you waiting to get shot? So moral of the story? Cops work in shades of gray. If they think you are up to something, then they will use any excuse to get you off the street. Sure one SW hopping in your car most likely will not do it. If they have any other reasons, then it might be the last thing that makes them act. Once they have pulled you over, their options are only limited by their imagination. I will agree many cops are not the brightest bulb in the pack, but there are exceptions.

They got creative where I lived before. They wanted to get rid of SWs. They passed a law where you could be ticketed for having a SW that was a known prostitute with a solicitation conviction or who had plead to a lesser count in you vehicle. They would then use RICO to take your vehicle if it was an expensive vehicle. Thankfully the law was eventually found to be unconstitutional. Mongering is an indirect target of LE activity, and ongoing cycle of harassment will come and go. The spiraling violence, declining infrastructure, exiting companies and drug epidemic is the spotlight for the city. They'll back off once these crimes migrate to a nicer zip code and attention diverted to money areas.

At about 2:30 am Saturday I counted at least 7 girls between DD and uhaul and 5 others at the triangle. Saw three of the ones at the triangle get picked up in less than a minute. Got me one at the DD but it was a lousy BJ. Should have tried harder to get one if the others attention.

He reruns tag and was good that they must have got a number wrong. Then he tells me my tint is to dark and gave me a warning. They tied me up for an hour so I was pissed. I called South West district and asked about the gun report, he put me on hold, went and checked. He comes back and said no why did I ask. I was really hot by then and called Internal affairs to file a complaint. First thing he said was did you get a ticket and I said no. He then tells me then I am all good.

Another time pulled over told tag lite was out. Checked me out and told me I could go. While he is sitting behind me I got out and looked and tag lite was lit, I just looked at him and shook my head. YOU ARE NOT DEALLING WITH NORMAL COPS IN THE CITY.

Yeah that is a ridiculous law. The reality is that cops lie all the time. People don't typically know their rights so police have a tendency to think they can strong arm you into doing what they say. If you talk enough shit to them they'll say fuck it and lock you up even if they know it's a bullshit charge because Baltimore city police aren't the type that like to be provoked. If they have any other reasons, then it might be the last thing that makes them act. Once they have pulled you over, their options are only limited by their imagination. I will agree many cops are not the brightest bulb in the pack, but there are exceptions.

They got creative where I lived before. They wanted to get rid of SWs. They passed a law where you could be ticketed for having a SW that was a known prostitute with a solicitation conviction or who had plead to a lesser count in you vehicle. They would then use RICO to take your vehicle if it was an expensive vehicle. Thankfully the law was eventually found to be unconstitutional. It did drastically reduce the ladies walking on the street for a while. The ladies did not walk, because there were not many customers. Of course the number of escorts and massage providers advertising in a little free paper called "The Pitch" skyrocketed, so then they had to address that.

Cops lie I believe since its just a job the type of people that are hired lie more than most it just the same folks you know or know of with a badge collecting a pay check. Shitty people hired involved in creating shitty laws and shitty people making shitty complaints over nothing that get people in trouble.

And most times dumb people mess up and don't want to take blame for what they did and knew about what they was doing wrong in the first place.
