I've never had any issues in the past there, but its been years.

They may be used to you paying the house fee by itself and then having to go back and forth over the menu. In most cases, skipping the negotiation by handing an appropriate amount all at once (usually) works where there is no incriminating conversation. Though really from a LE focus, the officer could just lie and claim you discussed specific services for specific prices, or claim it was implied based on the size of the payment up front.

My advice: if you get the feeling something is wrong, trust your instincts.

That said, and I'm sure most of us here have been through this multiple times, seeing someone new and they want to get explicit about something LE could bust you for, then takes your cash and leaves you alone in the room. If there are three providers working, that's at least a 60-90 minute wait if you're the 6th person in the hallway. If you chose to wait that long, they'd probably get your cell number, have you wait in your car and text you when your time is right.
