Has anyone had their doctor or the state ask them who their sexual partners were after testing positive for something?

A few years ago I went to get tested because of an "accident". My doctor said that if I tested positive for something, the State was going to send me something in the mail about my test results. The doctor also said I would have to tell who I had been sleeping with but the last thing I'm going to do is out myself that I'm seeing providers by saying "oh yea, I've been with so-so off Eros or Backpage". I tested negative, so no nosey questions or mails were sent, but had I tested positive, I'm wondering what the State was going to start asking.
