Having strangers in your car, especially street walkers, is all the more reason not to consent to a search. You as the driver is responsible for everything in your car. Officer, that's not my crack pipe under the seat. LOL.

Every lawyer says never consent to a search. I know I often go against conventional wisdom. This scenario is no exception.
Case in point: I was caught in a park with a streetwalker after hours in my vehicle. I was asked if I'd consent to a search. I had nothing to hide, so I did. The head cop later told me because I was cooperative, he's not taking me to jail. I've consented to three searches, and they all ended well for me.
In going to jail, my mugshot would have been posted for my employer and family to see. I would have missed work. I may have lost my job.
Instead, I just had to go to a court date and pay a fine.
Cooperating can save you a lot of trouble. Only do so when it seems to be in your best interest, though.[/QUOTE]
