I mean really, there's a huge difference between a single, unattached dude, who works in a job where nobody cares about what his business is, vs. a married dude in a public and / or "responsible" position where that info could ruin him.

For me, NWIH I'm putting my face pic on there. Body only. And sometimes SA can be persnickety about that, I. E. No bare chests, etc. As if we really want to do that at our age, LOL. I also try to resist sending face pics later on, thru email, etc. I don't want them having a picture of me at all! But sometimes you can't avoid that.

Some guys just put a similar picture, of someone else, on their profiles, but I have never been a fan of that because I really haven't ever found someone out there that looks like me. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing LOL. But I did find someone who looked like me when I was young, and I did an age progression on it using editing software and the results were surprisingly good. I won't use it on the site, because they will boot you for that, but maybe I will if I have to send it to a prospective SB. The last few SBs I had didn't insist on a face pic so haven't had to use it yet.

Funny thing is, I've had a couple of non-white SBs, Muslim / Americans who I swear lightened their pics in their profiles to be more light skinned. IE, they seemed darker when we met IRL. I had not a problem because I like the exotic, olive skinned look! One even showed up with blondish hair, but all her pics she had jet black hair! She did also come across as being a bit bitter that the white blondes seemed to get all the guys buying drinks when she went out to clubs. She was hot though, so IDK why any dudes wouldn't go for it!

And it will probably happen eventually, which he realizes, so I'm sure he wants to ride the gravy train as long as he can make it last. Putting an aggressive "screening" system in place is meant to project the appearance of being a good corporate citizen and stave off the authorities. Cheating a few of his customers out of their subscriber dues is the least of his concerns, especially since very few will complain.

Not sure how accurate the rumor is, but it would align fairly well with some of my experiences.

I doubt SA pays people to put up fake profiles. There are plenty of scammers, rinsers, online only, platonic only, feet pic sellers, findom, femdom, etc profiles already that they don't need to pile on.

Social Media encourages enough "bad actors" to create profiles already without the additional help.

I agree with this. What I don't understand is how they can ban people with no explanation and no refund. I can see not wanting to give explanations to help people learn how to avoid a ban in the future, but they should at least refund the balance of their unused membership.

How can any business take your money for a service, refuse to provide that service and keep the money? So unethical and makes them liable for a class action suit, if someone had thr guts to go public with it.

WE write the rules and you agree to follow them. Doubt any reputable attorney would take the case after a good read of the TOS.

I have frequented these boards for several years, I have heard sour grapes of this ilk, but no real evidence. There are plenty enough of people making profiles on their own, for their own benefit. Personally, I always keep my profile hidden from search, this prevents a scammer from contacting me, but if I go to a girls' page, she can see my profile. This cuts way down on random contacts from other continents.

That's a dynamic that is applied for essentially every sexual service covered, there's a vulnerability of us as consumers simply because we don't want to be exposed as one.

Have you ever been kicked out of a hotel for being too loud? Even if you've only been there an hour, your money is GONE. If you accepted the user agreement by joining and paying, that money is never coming back.

We're both veterans (here at least), our experiences couldn't be more different. I have been on SA for 3+ years, I have two profiles that have been on there for that time. I keep them because I think they are 'validated' from SA's perspective, I don't have to worry about getting banned (I am also super careful about what I say to girls on there). There are lots of people running into big problems with getting banned, it is a real pain to recover from that (changing essentially everything one does for their sugar identity).

Perhaps I am left alone also because I don't look like a gullible newbie. I deactivate my profiles when I am not paid up, just so I don't get a bunch of contacts I can't do anything with, and at all times, I keep my profiles hidden from search. This prevents the overseas picture sellers or girls looking for green cards from even knowing I exist. If I go to a girls page, based on my local search, they can see my profile, however.
