Shower was thorough (even more than I expected) , hard massage w / backwalk. Then came the negotiations. Upselling galore. .6 for NOVA, $ for BJ, $.4 for FS.

Bull. Shit. I told what my ATF usually charges (.4, .6, $) and she thought I was lying. So she threatens to call her in and ask, and then backs off when she saw I wasn't backing down and getting ready to leave. So we settle on. 6 for NOVA with roaming and DATY thrown in. Not counting the wait, I didn't get a full hour, either.

A pretty good massage, brought down by too much haggling. 6/10.

Lessons learned:

1) Weekdays are a better time to expect good service at an AMP.

2) Don't expect an AMP to keep an appointment if it's "too busy too busy"

3) Even if an AMP says it's "not busy". Expect it to be busy on a Saturday.

Maybe she was pissed with her tip. Oh well, I'm not paying her asking price of 100.

I think subsequent visits would initiate better relationship.

This is like the 3rd time I have encountered a provider looking for 100 for services that are on average 60, maybe 80, depending upon if the massage was extrodinary or not.

As I waited a girl came, Lisa was her name, we began small talk. I used the guidelines of questions I found here. Simple stuff like, where you from, what's your nationality and stuff. I told her to massage by upper back bc I just got out of the gym. She did her job massage everywhere else. Long story short after the flip she ask if I wanted a HJ, I said no I wanted mo than that. A little back and forth conversation, we led to a bbj. 69, then I was done. Probably lasted 40 min, I had ask for 30. She asked me if I was thirsty, I said yes, then gave me some water and some snickers and a kiss on the lips and that was it.

Providers have upped the quoted fees for services by about 20 to 40 and they are giving more attitude if you balk at their price. If they accept your price, they end up doing a shitty job. Either they must be getting their quoted prices from customers willing to pay that amount or they are not getting much business and need to really hustle every customer that walks in the door.

As for your lesson learned list, I never expect an AMP to provide an appointment for a customer unless he is a really long time client. Other than that, it's first come. First serve from my experience.

Also, for future reference, in my opinion, I would not list any more services than a HJ explicitly on the board if you are going to list the name of the place in your report.

I have patronized maybe a dozen AMPs, and am starting to learn the ropes on escorts (I. E, by appointment only, covert location not open to public, and FS guaranteed, I assume that is what is called an escort). As I see it, the advantage of an escort is knowing you will get FS and all that goes with it. On the other hand, AMPs are easier to arrange and seem less risky. I also take pleasure from the process of coaxing out extras at AMPs. The fact that it sometimes fails makes it thrilling when it succeeds.

In the end it comes down to chemistry. I want her to experience pleasure too, and I go to some lengths to do that. (I have found only one provider who lets me make her climax and doesn't fake it, she is my ATF although not the youngest or prettiest I have had, and I do not share intel on her. I'm not sure why she lets me do it, but it's flattering.) When I'm having a good time, I think the provider is too. Conversation and eye contact are important. I realize these ladies are performers to some degree, but I'the like to think I'm capable of distinguishing true pleasure. In fact, that's more important to me than getting FS.

Some posters here seem content with the 'standard' finish and don't ask for more, they consider roaming just icing on the cake. Do you give as good as you get? Other thoughts about AMPs vs. Escorts?

When I went to Smile somebody else was pulling in, so I gave them the courtesy of waiting a couple minutes before I tried to come in. And while I was waiting someone ELSE shows up and makes a beeline for the door. In order to avoid the likely awkward moment of eye contact between two strangers going to an AMP for the same reason, I waited another minute before walking up, and subsequently being shooed away because it was busy.

Brothers. Perhaps we all have differing reasons and standards as to what makes a provider an ATF. Perhaps some use that term for most of the ladies they see. Me, I only have one ATF at a time.

I saw mine today. Suffice it to say, it was another outstanding 70+ minutes on a very non-rushed, and what turned out to be not-busy late Monday afternoon. (A bit surprising as she told me they had a fairly busy morning afternoon).

[B]Not rank ordered[/B], but here is what makes my current ATF so very special to me.

1. When I make an appointment, the appointment is kept.

2. Her smile.

3. Her location is convenient, and although management appears to rotate, each MMS has figured out I am a good client.

4. She always uses new towels.

5. She washes the TS-table with anti-bacterial soap before she allows me to lay on it. And there are strategically placed washclothes as an additional cleanliness courtesy.

6. She has brushed her teeth just prior to joining me in the room.

7. She does not smoke. But she is smokin'!

8. She has never looked at the tip. But on subsequent visits she has made it clear she appreciates when I choose to be more generous than "standard" (and on all but two visits over the past two years, I have been and expect I will continue to be)

9. She almost cried when I gave her a Christmas present (I gave all the ladies in the place Christmas presents (including MMS) , but her present was nicer)

10. For the hour+plus she makes it seem like a visit with me "is more than it is". And she makes it easy for me to believe in friendship and "more" (no "wool over my eyes". I'm a client, but I am a good client)

11. She knows my name and number and uses them (discretely)

And for discretion, I'll not list any of the details you are salaciously hoping to read, but if you will check my posts you will know (A) I am not interested in FS and (B) I think every aspect of the visit should be enjoyable / enjoyed (so my ATF would not be suitable for FS-hopeful. 30-minute "what can I get from the provider" hobbiests (no criticism actually intended).

She also happens to be one of the top-5 most beautiful ladies I have seen as a monger. And she does not let those exceptional looks go to her head. She is never jaded.

There is a nice new place very close to Glebe and Columbia Pike. Clean facilities, nice ladies, SM can PM for more. Parking is dicy, but not the worst. The entrance is right on the street, but it is not notorious. I went, I enjoyed, I will return, I do recommend. .8 for the house, .8 for the tip.

Visited MWC at around 930pm, was hoping for an hour session but knew they may be getting ready to close. Settled for 30 minutes with an average looking lady probably in her late 30s.

Massage felt a bit rushed in the beginning but then I realized she was trying to get the full body treatment for me in 30 minutes. Overall, a solid massage session worth the 30-minute house fees I paid for.

I was not expecting a ts since they were already cleaning but the lady was kind enough to give me a thorough ts after the massage and good nova finish. On the way out some other lady and a dude (probably owner / friend / relative) came in the door and they rushed behind a curtain as they saw me walking out. Everyone got a good laugh out of it.

I was just trying to enjoy a good relaxing massage and wasn't looking for anything more than standard nova. So I left a happy customer and may be back another time. Perhaps a different lady next time. There used to be younger selections at mwc.

This used to be one of my ATF places but for me now run down by rushed service and upselling. NO different this time. I told Michelle the MSS if this was the same bad experience don't expect me back. So she gave me Sara. Sara was at Feeling in Herndon a few months ago and she upsells the fuck out of her services which are not that great.

Good shower, shitty 20 minute massage and a rub. She wanted. 8. For that I expect more service. I was talking to MSS and she came by and said I shorted her. I gave her. 6 and that was generous for 45 minutes of poor service.

I think its well established that the house money is just that the houses money. By not tipping for what appeared to be good service you basically just used her and tossed her nothing. Providers work for tips, if the service sucks fine complain, etc. But to not tip for good service, well maybe you are in the wrong hobby and should just find a regular legit massage place or one of the many independent massage therapist in the area who do not expect a tip, there are plenty of those. By no tipping, you just sour the hobby for us who do. That fact that they invited you back is amazing, let us know how that goes, I am sure the ladies will not be lining up and fighting over the chance to give you a massage knowing you don't tip.

Out of the $80 house money, the therapist in question recd about $24. 00 of it. Don't think for a second that all of it goes to the house. Anyway, therapy in NOVA is higher than the US average by at least 20 bananas per visit.

Stop by the place on Gallows Road this week for the first time ever, but I placed a call to make an appointment first. She said it wasn't busy and appointment not necessary. I was greeted by friendly MMS, took me to a room that was clean and cozy. She took my house fee of. 80 since I wanted the hour long massage. I drew a young looking K-gal named Lisa. Nice frame with a small bust. She was friendly and very social, and her massage technique was firm. Not much to seek in terms of playfulness as a matter of fact, she was mechanical. She wouldn't allow me to look up or turn my head to the side away form the massage table's port hole (just wanted to get a better view of her nice butt). After the massage, the flip was a standard NOVA finish with not much else offered or even discussed. TS came after the massage, but I did leave refreshed and relaxed and very clean. I dropped. 40 for the friendly service and she was content. I may return for the nice friendly service. Parking was good. Located next to other businesses so during the day if you make a B-line from your car to the door, you should be cool.

PC out[/QUOTE]Interesting. Years ago in LA, when I was "closer" to some of the providers, the percentage there varied between about 40% and 60%. (the very popular ones could command the higher percentage based on the business they would bring the MP, or they'd move on).

For a good NOVA finish, I'd leave 40, occasionally for stellar service I will up a bit, but given I can have hassle free, appointments with private providers, who provide good value, why go much higher. Especially given the $80 house fee in NOVA.

Leaving 80-100 for HJ from a middle-aged spa lady makes no sense, and drives up expectations. The market rate for therapeutic massage at a spa is around 60-80 / hour. There are quite a few younger ladies who do FBSM that includes a quality therapeutic massage and a topless / nude sensual component, which is quite interactive and doesn't require haggling or breathing kimchee, in the 120 range.

This means that the charge for HJ and roaming with a younger masseuse is 40-60 of the total fee. There are some girls who charge 160-180 / hour for FBSM, but these are the top of the field: young, tight-body hotties.

Assuming therapists see just 4 customers a day, if you give an 80 tip, you believe her job is worth 120, 000 / year.

At the end of the day, if someone wants to throw an extra 40-60 of his hard-earned money out unnecessarily, it's his money, but why not try tipping 60 instead of 100, and see if you notice the slightest loss in quality of service, then bank the savings for future ventures?

BlkPrinceVa: You should leave a tip for anything beyond a therapeutic massage. It doesn't have to be the crazy money some people are throwing, even if it's 10-20, just as a sign of appreciation and encouragement, but if you're stiffing them with nothing, it makes them more mercenary and less trusting with the rest of us.

These tend to be ladies on the older side that have lived in this area for awhile. NOVA requires a separate licence in addition to the national license that requires local residency and registration with the county. Younger girls that tend to come in from NY usually don't get a cut of the house money, but it depends on AMP and how bad they need staff.

I've dated a few, and you can PM me on this, but I'll tell you in general, most girls require tips if they are to make money working in this area. The MMS only care about themselves. They negotiate the best possible deal to maximize their own income.

Where the therapist actually cares beyond the hour of service as they want return business.

Obviously your mileage still varies and some indi-therapists still upsell, but my experiences are better in indi-land. The AMPs can take a hike with this exhausting upsell approach. There are other options.

I agree and will do so in the future; and 2) Hobbiest like you are driving the cost up by paying way too much for minimal service. It's interesting you never answered my original question so I'll assume that you paid the house 80 and tipped 80 for a total of 160 for standard service. If this is what it takes to pursue this hobby in NoVa, I'll be retiring soon.
