Once arriving, I will typically wait 15-20 min if I receive no response. The problem is when they string you along "give me a minute", "almost ready", "the maid's here", etc. That can get up to 30-45 min before I finally give up. I even had once (with a regular), where I waited 20 min, left, then she gave me the room right after I pulled out, so I came back, then she wouldn't answer the door. Part of it is that once you've waited so long, you want the wait to be worth it so your time isn't a complete waste. I will say, once entering the room, I've never left due to a broken promise.
