Motels
I have never had a problem with checking in at any time of the day at the area Motel 6's or Red Roof Inns.
Yeah Its the 11:am or noon checkout time problem. I was thinking if some motels have special day time rates like if you wanted to check in around 8 or 10am and checkout later in the evening?
Also are there any hourly motels in indy? I think there are none.
Hampton Inn
Gents Leo is taping at seedier motels and hotels guys license plates,(Hampton Inn- Castleton is definitely working with leo. Staff has been known to watch the room #'s going into etc. My advice is to splurge on a Hilton or Hyatt and make sure your "date" is dressed appropriately. I always find it fascinating that high end escorts AND even clients valet.
That is an absolute no no and can get you some very bad attention.
I never considered a Hampton Inn Seedy. Mayflower Inn, yes, Hampton not so much.

How would you know this?

LE does not have the time, manpower or money to invest camping out at hotels to make misdemeanor arrests. They run a sting now and then or raid a few MP's. In all my years in Indy they've never done more than that. They pay attention for a minute to show they are doing something but that's about it. Of course it's wise to be cautious but LE does not pay near as much attention to this as so many on this board think they do.

Have to agree with Chilli, I stay at the Hampton everytime I'm in Indy. Sometimes not leaving for my work until 3pm. So I'm there during the day and night hours. Never ever saw a cop or cop car. Very family oriented place.
I've always had visitors with no problem.

I just put a friend up there at the Castleton location on Friday night as a favor to him on his drive from Detroit to southern Indiana. He got in late, we went to dinner with my wife, then back to the hotel. He left early to make a breakfast appointment. I hope he doesn't have Uncle Leo calling his wife to report he stayed in a hotel on the road.
By the way, he said the rooms were very nice as they had recently been remodeled.

Rainy Weekend
I've not had alot of experience looking for SW's, and I think I chose a poor weekend to drive around. Rain aside, I chose to stick with east side of town and managed to identify one WSW. However, what really bothered me was not just where I found her, but how it felt like an obvious set up. I was driving on e washington and noticed a guy on the porch in a white sweatshirt. He was rather easy to spot, even on a dark rainy night, but she wasn't. She was wearing something dark and gray with a slit in the skirt running all the way up. It wasn't until I was almost upon her that I saw her and actually swerved in reaction. She looked like she was ready to walk in traffic, as she was crossing the street and standing in the middle turn lane when I got up to her.
Is this normal behavior? I don't know if it was necessarily LE, but it certainly didn't feel right.
LEO has task forces just for "prostitution and soliciting" We all know that the reason the escort scene has become almost like having to give your first born to see one of us or me is because of that...
Yes, they do, but what good will they do themselves sitting around outside hotels running plate numbers?
Doing that wouldn't get them anything actionable unless they happened to see a known Provider going into a room with someone, and even then, there'd be nothing they could do, since they would have no proof that the guy was a client, and not the Provider's SO. Sure, they could stop the Provider, and they client when they came out of the room, and ask alot of questions, but, again, no proof anything illegal happened, so what can they do about it?

So What

It's not a full time 24/7 activity. It's just not done here in Indy. If LE was "on it" like you suggest there would be arrests every day. Mongering is 24/7, LE fighting it is not.

Yep, this makes no sense

Very hard to believe this would be happening. Nice of SJ to be looking out for us and all. But the seedier hotel comment and Hampton Inn in Castleton in the same sentence doesn't make sense either. That place is better than Holiday Inn and some 4 stars that I regularly stat at.

What would they do?
TN, this is not just to you, but to whole discussion. I am not trying to be a smart ass or stir anything up.
Nice hotels can have activities too. If a nice hotel did have concerns about increasing activity, or specific room activities, what might they do? Might they call LEO? What might LEO do?
Surveillance seems like such a standard LEO tool, even if I don't understand what they might get from it in this case, it seems plausible to me they might do it for a while. Not wanting drama, I would want to avoid being on the surveillance even if they would have hard time proving anything. Maybe I am just being paranoid, but thanks to SJ for passing information along and thanks to all for discussions.

Concerns and questions

First off I am surprised, I am so prejudiced and judgmental that I automatically would have assumed a maintenance man to be more of a Boone's Farm aficionado than a connoisseur of fine wines, such as a Bordeaux. That being said, if I were the maintenance man at the HI I do believe being outed on a board would concern me as much as having my plate tallied in a parking lot where they would have absolutely no idea why I might be there. I see many more girls at the downtown Hilton than I do at HIC, so why would they not be watching there since it is so popular. I attend many meetings and conferences at the Sheraton at the Crossing, will that make me a likely suspect?(Although a couple of my favorite traveling visitors have a habit of staying there so maybe it does) A certain hobby I have has taught me over the years to be very wary and watchful in parking lots, it used to scare the crap out of me, I still sometimes may linger an hour ahead in lots to scope them out when I have misgivings, and I sometimes still have to pay close attention to the many private security cars that so many of the local hotels employ which can make one's heart skip a beat, scared one girl I know so badly she didn't sleep all night because she thought her uncle had hunted her down and was waiting for her outside.( They left at dawn but I had a great time holding and consoling her till they left, maybe I forgot to tell her about the security thing, can't remember) There is hardly a hotel in town that I haven't visited at some point, and at last check parking my car or visiting a business isn't a crime in and of itself, so I am curious what the strategy would be exactly and visiting friends is still considered appropriate social activity, so could it be happening, sure, is it, more likely an alternate explanation is the case. I certainly hope that what has been stated isn't the case, because I hold that particular location in a special place in my heart, and other places of my person, because one of the great experiences that I ever had in my exploration as a gourmand occurred on that very site.

How Dare You?

In all of your posts, you claim to be concerned with others' safety, but in your most recent post about a particular monger and where that person works, you have succeeded in putting that person in extreme risk for scrutiny.
This is not what this forum was designed to do.

I laughed out loud. Thanks Ilapp!

I stand corrected
I have gotten more money from the people with lower paying jobs who don't haggle on the $400 an hour rate as opposed to the white collar men who send me emails all the time with sweetie would you take $200 or $300.
Recently I have a wonderful person taking care of me and I have not had to work much, however the clients I do see are my friends, and therefore that is why I try to help them with what I hear etc etc. I am not really seeing anyone new, however I do believe what this guy told me is correct.
He stated Leo has brought in photo's to the front desk of local girls with face photo's posted on escort sites, and they have been asked to please cooperate by monitoring the situation if that girl comes in. (Today, I gathered that from my friend who is planning on quitting, thus is the reason he has told me about this)
It appears to him Leo undercover vice has offered $ 100 dollars to any of the staff to cooperate. It does make sense to me, however I also agree there are a lot of hotels we stay at, and why are they not doing that? Or are they?
In my career I have been the fort knox of screening, and also not taking any chances. I will always continue to be like that, I also never client share or converse with other providers. This business makes you aware of your surroundings quickly and I can say from personal experience that I do believe that quite possibly the staff could be cooperating at hotels. I have left certain hotels based on the staff, and how they were reaacting. I have also lost thousands by not seeing many people if they will not go through proper screening, But I have kept my clients safe and also myself.
Maybe it's true or maybe he is just disgruntled but I thought I would pass it on anyway.

I do apologize about the flippant remark concerning means, I should know better, a good friend of mine who from the outside one would assume his job to be menial labor, and he has hobbied worldwide in ways I can only dream of. You know I adore you and think you to be one of the brightest and most well informed persons in the business I have ever come across, if not the most. You are cautious, prudent and discrete, and I have no doubt you believe what you have reported to be true, and I must admit if I were going to blow smoke up anyone's ass myself, there is no cuter and finer ass I could imagine than yours to do it to( the blowing smoke thing of course), but I feel, rather believe for good reason you to be off base here, in territory you may not understand. I must say I never thought I would say that to you, your knowledge and research have always been as good as there are and you have a certain intuitive nature that must serve you well, and I have never doubted that your intentions are honorable and that you are only trying to be of assistance to those that adore you and those that wish they could. Agendas, misconceptions, Ilapp is a dumbass and way off base and you're info is correct, not sure what is in play but I have no doubt of your intentions but I can't and won't speak for anyone else's. For once, let's hope you are wrong. I suddenly feel like the Amazing Karnac- a psychic of sorts(not psycho for those friends that were going to chime in). I see a working man, who very well may not get the opportunity to resign, MMMMMM
P.S. - If we aren't going to judge books by their covers then does that mean you won't think of me as the old, fat, saggy-assed, pencil-dicked pervert that I appear to be?

Tried to stay out of it.
