I think it's time to discard the games people play regarding how much various things cost. I have never seen the point in it. From now on, let's just call $100 $100. Nobody benefits from the games people are playing with this.

These girls are risking everything to do what they do. They risk their freedom, their health (both physical and mental) , and God knows what else. In exchange for that, they deserve to get at least whatever the going rate is. Granted some of them will try to get you to pay more. Sometimes that extra amount is warranted. That is up to you. But to my knowledge, the going rate has been the going rate for many years. So none of us should feel we are paying too much. In those years, all other costs have gone up. Gas, medicines, food, prices of cars, etc. These girls have to live too. Lets make sure they get what they deserve.

Also tried out sky (with the right money this time aha) and wow. I'd have to say sky is a better experience just because of the fact they have a sauna, and that the massage is like. Better / longer.

Just felt like a fuller better experience and the place is really clean compared to mist. Honestly, the best would be a mix between mist and sky. They both have thier plusses and minuses.

Take both of thier plusses and you have the perfect spot.

With that said, anyone know any chicks that work at these spots that are in thier midish 20s?

In 2003, when I first arrive on this scene the prices were not much different then now. 60 not 80 and tips were about the same given without the hassel because you felt I felt I was getting quality not taken for a ride. The women did what they do and the "tips" were given with a smile and a thank you. Now, the few times I see an AMP I give (like the 15% at a restaurant) because it is the accepted norm. I usually walk away saying, never again.

If you want to compare then and now, no comparison, I never got squeezed for more in those days just squeezed for coming. I do believe, like tipping at a restaurant, tips start at a certain % (for me 15) and go up or DOWN based on attitude and servide.

You're screwing it up for the rest of us. The product is starting to improve because mongers are willing to put a little more into it, and you want to go back to old pricing? Its 2011, the 90s were twenty years ago. Then again, that probably explains why were getting 40 year old providers because you're sticking to the same price of old.

Twenty year old in 1990 is getting a $100 so same provider twenty years later at 40 gets $100. Makes sense now.

I'm pretty sure most of the people weighing in on this issue need to take an intro micro-econ class.

Everyone here knows how tight I am with my money. I will squeeze a penny until Abe Lincoln begs for mercy!

HOWEVER; you need to wake up and know that things cost more now than they did in the '80s or even the '90s!

You must simply STFU and pay the going rate as instructed by your fellow hobbiers in here.

Even as stingy as I am I have given in so I now take $200 into the place with me. I pay whatever the house fee is and try to get away with just $100 for the tip for full service. If that causes an issue I fork over the balance of my $200 and just let it go.

Good service is worth it! I also usually bring a gift with me. A sack of citrus goes well with them. Clementines seem to be the one they like best.

I've been a participant before and am looking forward to playing again. I've asked this before and no one will reply. I don't want to under tip. All I want is a TS and HJ, maybe even a 69 positioned HJ. What is the appropriate tip for that?

The employees always do the HR HE without asking for a tip. I usually leave $20 or more anyway. But to get them more involved I pull out $40 and leave by my belongings and het the HR as well as much more involvement from the provider (ie. Great views roaming, just overall more involvement). I don't go any further than that with them so that is why my gratitude showing is a little smaller.

It makes no difference $ 100 or $ 150 tip. At the end of the day it's ton of cash in pocket of some old lady. I don't mind to pay for young (20-25). Haven't seen that in AMP yet. The one I thought was 28, was actually 37. Go figure.

By the way, who is in control of the "going rate"? Who makes the decisions?

First, I want to suggest something to everyone on this board. Lets not refer to the $100 payment for service as a tip anymore, it is not accurate as [b]IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PAY A TIP BEFORE SERVICE IS RENDERED[/b], AMPs are no different. You pay ahead of time because that is the fee.

Suggested terminology might be something like this:
HOUSE: $70.
GIRL SERVICE (before service) : $100.
GIRL TIP (after service) : $10. - $30.

[highlight]$100 IS NOT THE TIP, IT IS THE BASE PRICE FOR SERVICE.[/highlight]
She does not get any of the $70 for the house.

If you are the type of person who goes to restaurants and leaves without paying a tip to the waiter then leaving after paying $100 "makes sense".

If you pay a tip to the waiter at the restaurant and don't pay a tip to your AMP provider then you are not being consistent.

Most girls are worth at least $10 extra as you prepare to exit.

If you pay $100 for bad service and pay $100 for good service then the girls are incentivized to give bad service, aren't they?

Went to see Deedee (or Peedee) who was not available, Lilly worked fine.

House fee now a days is 70. 80.

Then in the room you pay the provider 100 for FS. Just put the 100 on the table before she comes back from giving the house fee to the mamsan. Once she see the money she relaxes and knows you have been there before.

Could a few of you DC locals help a frequent traveler out? Most every trip I make to DC I end up strolling through Chinatown one night looking for AMPs. I've never been able to locate one just by walking around. But I also haven't had much luck online. I always stay in Dupont and there are a few options there but I keep thinking some will pop up in Chinatown. Is there really nothing there? It would make sense to have some there.

You don't have to read it [i]all[/i] Necessarily, but you need to read more of it.

Everything you want to know is already here, you just have to compulsively sift through it. That being said, it's well worth the effort.

The Verizon center foot traffic brought with it a lot of different commercial chains, which in turn jacked up rents for real estate in the area. Not sure whether it makes much business sense for an AMP to pay a premium rent just to set up shop in C'town. Remember, most of the providers in AMPs seem to be Korean girls, not Chinese. This probably means that they set up shop in the C'town's because of the central location, relative saftey, and CHEAP rents. Not because they're Chinese.

Sounds like you already know about the locations in Dupont. There are other options in N. Va, but between what's available in Dupont, and the three different spots I've been to in N. Va, I've always been disappointed with the disparate levels of service, price, and selection that was offered to me at the N. Va locations. Granted, the actual massages were better, but if that's what interests you. Then you're probably on the wrong website.

There used to be a place on 10th St NW (across from Ford's Theater) that was a good AMP. Think the old name is Royal. Is that place still around?

There is a sketchy place in Chinatown, not an AMP at all, really. Shell Green is the best now, if you hit it at the right time.

Over the last few months I've been visiting various AMPs about 3 or 4 times a month. Sometimes Baltimore, sometimes DC, and sometimes other cities. I've been to 1215 four times since the fall because I've always gotten a good looking girl and only had to wait once (though they were closed for a while). They consistently underperform their competition down the street and in other cities. Table shower has always been bland and the massage has been very poor quality. I always get a standard DC finish, but always lackluster. At other places I probably average about 50 minutes per visit, at 1215 I'm probably averaging about 30 minutes. Today was only 26 minutes from getting off the elevator to getting back on it.

I'll be going to other places where the girls may not be as good looking, but where the services are better.

I'd like to read other reviews from this place, good or bad.

But I could not disagree more. 1215 is a gem on the DC scene.

They are clean and private unlike the competition.
When I go there the floors are clean enough to eat off of.
Even the table shower is clean.

Also they offer a very nice sauna which is often not available at other places.
Plus I have had some very nice ladies there.

Getting 26 minutes will happen if you go for the finish up front. Happens to me all the time.
I do not blame them, because the finish can be exhausting, leaving the lady needing a rest.
If you want to stay longer I would say, ask for a longer sauna session, and let the massage go for longer before you go for the finish. 1215 is a place where a good massage is possible (and probable) , this is not the case at many locations in the area.

1215 might be my #1 spot, I think I will go tomorrow.

I have to agree that the place has been absolutely spotless, much cleaner than nearly every other AMP. I'm never one to rush to the finish because a good massage is nice. But my last 4 Sky massages have been poor quality and very short. I'll monitor responses from other mongers and I may put them back in my rotation.

As a first time poster let me just say I am loving this forum, learning all there is to know about the mp scene. I was just wondering which mp you were talking about.
