I'm unsure how politics turned from what it began as into respecting human rights and dignity vs. Hate and whatever the hell it is you are on about. Just be a decent person my dude.
I'm going to say this. I'm a black man. I listen to metal, talk like a white guy, and date mainly white and Latina women. When I'm around my family I need subtitles because I don't understand what they say half of the time. So, I could "identify" as being white instead of black. Guess what? That doesn't change a damn thing. I'm still black. I still keep my hands on the steering wheel when pulled over by the police (which is more than white guys), I still have women cross the street rather than walk past me, if there is nut job right wing extremist rally, I will by lynched like any other black man. When the noose is around my neck, screaming, "I identify as white!" isn't going to save my ass. Michael Jackson worked his ass of to be white, not one person in the world would say he was anything but black.
So, this strange movement with gender doesn't work for me. I'm sorry if you were born a man and want to be a female, you were born a man and ARE a man. It isn't a human rights issue, it isn't about dignity. It's someone not being mentally capable of dealing with the cards that life has dealt them. You are what you are and 98.5% of the population seems to be able to deal with how they were born, we shouldn't be changing our society to for the very, very small percentage of people that can't deal with the gender they were at birth.
All that being said, if a man wants to be called a she, I will do it. Not because I believe that he's a woman, it's because I'm a nice person and don't want to hurt their feelings. Internally, I know it's simply bullshit.
