I get the impression from reading recent posts that some of you guys are getting bored with the SOS AMP experience. Let me say that I’m not there yet.

I had intended to leave a post here about one of the better pickup joints I know in D.C., Maxim Restaurant. It is an upscale Russian-Georgian restaurant/club on F Street, N.W. For the last several months the club has sponsored weekend disco nights, Tango lessons, and generalized fun. Part of the attraction came from the fact that A LOT of homesick CIS girls would show up on Friday and Saturday nights for some fun.
And if any of you guys has been inside a Russian nightclub back in the Old Country, you will know how wild such a place can be. There may have been an AMP there once (possibly by name of VIP Spa next door to vacant business with Auto Parts sign). I stopped by there twice. 1st time got no one to answer the door. 2nd time, was buzzed in and the oriental girl seemed surprised I was there. I asked if they were open. She said for what? Went to downtown for my second time on Cinco De Mayo around 12:45. I was worried they would be closing or would rush me out, but didn't have that problem at all.
I asked for all the usual names that come up in this forum, Maya, Mimi, Etc. I was told none were available, but that I would get a good girl.

Since ppl have been asking, the place I referred to was indeed the "719 8th St, SE." spot next to the (Yates) auto parts store.
Often times this place is indeed busy and probably being American (not Asian) raised a flag for the mama.
If you had to be buzzed in, walk up stairs, and an ugly old b!tch answered the door, you got the right place. From there it's a matter of how to get in.
Some suggestions might be to call ahead of time, figure out the names of one of the girls working there like "is Sara still there?", when they say "no", ask if they have any new girls", you know standard questions, and then confirm they're open.
Then you go, ask for the new girl or Sara (common AMP name) and try your luck again.
I for one am going to try and find some other AMPs that don't service thousands of sports section readers and when I do I'll be sure to post here.
