Or a girl was using a texting app with a temporary number for her Sugar activities. She has since given up the number which has been picked up by a guy. The texting app and burner phone numbers get re-cycled a lot.
So I have this burner phone I've only used for the bowl and I've had it for a few years. You chat a girl up on SA, ask for number, then start texting her. The usual. Only been used to chat girls up. I installed Snapchat and of course it goes through all your convos and contacts and maps them to known snapchat users. The interesting part is I get a whole bunch of dudes showing up on the list. Basically anytime a 'girl' asked for gas money, or babysitter money, or anything upfront and I would instantly delete the convo, it would still be inside my phone for snap to find much later. So basically, every single one of these dudes was someone on SA posing as a girl trying to scam SD's with up front payment. To be clear, it's not one or two guys, it's a few dozens.
No matter what the pics are, you never know who you're talking to until you meet them.

I've been reading some of the forums here and there about SB's when I have free time. I've never given it serious thought until recent about actually joining SA and making a go of it.
The Richmond forum here seems to be the meca of the SB / SA talk on this site. I figured many of you guys reading this have lots of experience dabbling in the SB world.
Ideally, I'd like to find a SB who's College aged, well spoken and just a regular person with a life, goals, etc.
There's no concrete answer to this I know but when you have an ongoing arrangement with a SB do you find it's usually strictly business or does your SB like you in general and you talk to them from time to time without it being about setting up a time and place to meet?
The main reason I've considered joining is because with some sugar involved it speeds things up and is better than seeing a provider with all of the unknowns that come with it.
Some and I assume most are in their 40's, 50's & 60's but seem to have had some really great experiences. I'm not married; late 20's.
Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.
Impact on SA
There was some discussion pages back about what the impact would be on the bowl from all of this, with some initial hope that it would be a good thing by increasing needs of the babies.
Well, after having been back on SA for a few weeks, I can say with total certainty (at least in my neck of the woods where we started our reopen over 6 weeks ago now) that it has completely ruined it. Things were already trending in the wrong direction, but unlike the virus, every negative trend towards online relationships and scams has gone parabolic on there. An outright majority of the new profiles in my area flat out state things like no meet ups, online only or can't meet right now.
Even for the minority that don't say that, about 75% eventually reveal it over email or text. The old gas money (or diapers or dog food or phone bill) scams, which are still around, now are usually that they are caring for their grandparents or sick relatives so can't meet due to covid. So do online and "build up trust" then they will meet you when it's over (yeah, right). Or pay this bill for them.
Now I'm not going to fall for any of this transparent garbage and send money, but the sheer prevalence of this BS can only mean one thing, and that is that many more guys are falling for it on there than used to. My speculation is that two things have happened, one that experienced SDs have become more open to this and are doing it. That could be because they are not comfortable meeting right now, or it's just more plausible and / or sympathetic than the old scams and that they think they really will eventually get to meet this girl (spoiler, they will not).
The second driver I suspect is that an entirely new set of guys has joined the site since this started, guys basically using it as online porn. Not exactly sure it got discovered by that group, but definitely seems to have happened. There's no way that experienced SD's would be interested in this or fall for it at this rate. There have to be additional marks who have joined since this all began.
Between legit girls getting money for nothing, and the boiler rooms in India and Romania outright scamming these fools, finding the gems has become about 10 x harder in my experience.
So I'm trying to ease back into meeting girls off Seeking, it's been awhile. Almost every girl I message replies she's online only. The worst thing is they often lead you along for a while without telling you they are online only. I have even told several I would be open to platonic meetings but I insist on meeting to see what they would say. They almost all say they are open to meet eventually but I have to send them money and have an online arrangement for some time to begin with. There are so many girls on there doing this, and not giving up and logging on daily for weeks, that some guys must really be sending them money without meeting. This is amazing to me. Another question is why don't they put in their ad that they are online only so I don't waste my time messaging back and forth with them until I learn the truth. My membership actually expires this week and I have went the entire month without finding anyone to meet. That site is becoming a waste of time and money.
All new online dating technologies go through a sort of a "story arc". From brand new and unknown, to getting well known and working well "as intended," to pretty mainstream with folks figuring out how to "hack" the system, to the hacks and scammers taking over like cancer and ruining it. Seeking is no different. Same thing happened with Tinder. And all the rest.
Seeking was really great a few years ago, but it's now quite late in their story arc, and will sooner than later become irrelevant like all the others unless they do something about it. There used to be far more real girls using the site as intended -- girls looking for well-off men to trade sex for benefits be it status, gifts, excitement and fun, actual cash or some combination. Now, the scammers (girls and fake accounts alike) are taking over Seeking. The men still want to use the site as intended, but the others are looking for (and finding, because some men are too hopeful, desperate or stupid) ways to shortcut the system and just get money without having to actually meet in person and form an actual sugar relationship.
Lately, with COVID there are fewer girls interested in meeting, and understandably so. Seeking is looking to keep guys (the only source of income) interested by shifting strategies a bit and relaxing the rules in the name of safety. And with that, the girls who want free money and the scammers who realize they can pose as girls have flourished.
The only way to counteract this is for a great number of men to let their membership lapse and tell Seeking why. Probably won't happen though because there are too many foolish men out there who either don't read this site or haven't learned the hard way yet.

Hackers and Scammers
It's our posts that protect other guys from hackers and scammers. Post freely and use pics when possible so that we can track the scammers when they shed skins. There's still a lot of great sex out there but it takes work to find the gems.
Think you have hit on something here. Trend in the posts for online girls appears to demonstrate a bunch of over confident newbies. Just Google something and dive in without any thought, research or consideration of the consequences. Should be able to cripple the hobby in a generation because these dudes willingly use texting and emails from their real names or some kind of eCurrency tied to a real name. Some kind of website that aggregates this info could effect employment, housing, etc. But hey, it's online, it must be OK? Oh and don't forget to pay list price too!
I would not renew SA now unless you see old favorites on there. Now, they definitely don't want men off the internet that they don't know coming to their house because of Covid.

SA Payment
Morning gents. I've been away from SA for a bit. What are folks doing these days for cc payment to join? Thanks in advance!

I've had the opposite for the most part, I've had more girls willing to host than ever before. The lack of roommates currently is what I contributed it to, also some desperation as they had been anticipating the money from working this summer but haven't been able to.
