If we're stating that someone looks fortyish or even fiftyish on a board like this it certainly is meant as a criticism. Age mentioning usually comes along with lots of superlatives if she is young, while the older ones come with some negativity. If the reviewer isn't into age, then their ability to pin age down within 2-3 years may not be as refined as someone that is. A person can enjoy driving a Ferrari and tell you that it was a fun drive, but not be as into the details like the specific year. Take their review for what it is and continue to do your own research. Pressing others for specifics that they are indifferent to is only going to lead to flawed data.
