I have never once come across a post that warned us to keep from a provider because she had some white company. Always black. Because black skin scares most people, especially white men.

I do not believe that anyone in here is racist or means to say racist things, but I was born black and always will be. What I would like to be understood is that when people continuously say that race does not matter, but everywhere I look I'm reminded that they always notice black. I feel the same way when I see black providers saying that they cater to white men and if I'm black I better be professional. If someone's an asshole, call them that. If one is giving a description of someone specific to look out for, mention their race, size, etc. But if race does not have anything to do with the story, either don't bring up any or bring up all.

I've seen many black providers and have asked them why they don't see non-professional black guys. The answer is always the same. They get stiffed on the donation or outright robbed or beat up or all of the above. I also asked if they ever had a similar experience with white guys and the answers is always the same. No, other than the occasional haggling about price.
If that is their experience and their preference for doing business, then who are you to tell them otherwise?

The provider should simply say that she only sees professional gentlemen or something like that. Period. Many providers say that and I get it. I'm a manager for a Fortune 500 company and don't appreciate having to wonder if I'm professional enough just because I'm black.
