Yes, I come from a liberal / progressive perspective, but I am recognizing that he was not driven by a hatred of Chinses. He was influenced by the cultural view of Asian women as sex objects. But I think it could have been other women. But he attacked and blamed women for his own desires. And neither side is placing the blame for that where it belongs. On fundamentalist religions that make people feel guilty about sex.

Another thing I will add that may help you Ernstheiter, is that I've lived in a few different states and CT is by far the worst I've lived in for young bachelors. So your pain is definitely real. This is the state people come to die and / or raise kids. You've seen Lord of the Rings right? Connecticut is like the Shire. Not really on anybody radar. A great place to sit around and do nothing though. If sitting around and doing nothing is your thing. So unless you're going to Yale or Uconn don't be afraid to leave this place, Frodo.
