Those of use who have SOs have to be careful about leaving bread crumbs, one key piece of 'evidence' being credit card charges. Unless you have a CC that the SO *truly* has no access to, this is an issue (and even then there can be difficulty with having your real identity in someone else's hands). Many years ago, my SO found out I was cruising a dating site in this way, on an account she didn't really look at regularly but did know about and, unfortunately, happened to see. Amazingly, she filed but didn't divorce me.

I have been trying to renew my SeekingArrangement membership with the standard OneVanilla gift card. It hasn't been going through. I get an error message. I have communicated with both their payment processor, PaymentWall, and with customer service at SA itself. Here is a quote from a message I got from SA:

Unfortunately, we are receiving reports of some US prepaid credit / debit cards not working. Perhaps you would be able to find a card that can be used internationally?

So, perhaps the formula many have been using, OneVanilla, is now dead. I have looked for the latter. One of the customer service agent asked me if I had tried using their PayPal method. I hadn't b / c I earlier looked into setting up a new PayPal account and it involved too much personal info. Today, I just clicked the PayPal option inside SA, and went through much of the renewal process. I did get to a point where I was asked to log into PayPal and it entered my safe email address from SA. I had to separately establish a new PayPal with that address as the login. For reasons unknown, perhaps click through from SA which is in Hong Kong, I think, or because I was using Tor and it presented me as if I was in Europe, I was able to establish a new PayPal with no validation of I'd, SSN, or anything else. I then put my OneVanilla into the account with no difficulty, went back to SA and chose the PayPal option again, and much to my relief the transaction went through.
