The articles say, just as it says above, the people were pulled over in traffic stops. In one case was a passenger, some how the driver was pulled over, and LE must have asked for his ID. Attorney's say his case seems to be on shaky ground, given a number of things, invasion of privacy, warrants, pulled over under false pretenses, etc.
He has the money and incentive to fight this, most don't and will just pay the fines.

You have no idea who is asking for intel on this. In fact you don't know if I'm LE. There is more than enough intel in this thread to figure it out for those willing to scroll through. No reason to hand it over to newbies with only a few posts. Just my opinion.

They did not have the evidence required to legally install the camera's. Second the way they identified the people in the tape was to pull them over for fake traffic violations then sweat them into confessing.

In short, this was illegal surveillance and if the John's did not incriminate themselves uncle LEO would have no real case. Do not talk to the police. Fair warning though, if they read you your rights, they will hold you the maximum time they legally can to sweat a confession out of you. If they have arrested you, you'll have to think about how long you can afford to spend in holding. Then offer to sign a confession written by the cop, if they agree in writing to release you without bond if you sign. Then you can always later use that to argue they colluded the confession out of you. Also, you can use a threat to seize your property as compulsion to sign a confession.
