Do something, say something
Just like the Marijuana thing, changing attitudes about puritanical mores and sex-for-pay is going to require a large group of voters saying publicly, in a palatable way, that we.
Do not want the government getting involved in who has sex with who.
There has to be a message that can everyone can get behind, or at least one that the morality squad won't go on record against.
"Sick people should not be denied their medecine" is what the pot folks did.
"Prostitution is not a crime" or "Who we have sex with is nobody's business but our own" or "Its not fair to make criminals out of sex workers".
And people need to write this on paper and mail it to state congress, town selectman, Attorneys general, and make it hard for them to shame everyone into.
Denying they would ever get a happy ending.
I have written a number of letters to the Providence city council, and the Lowell Sun (which regularly shames johns).
You should to.
