I recently cleaned up this thread by deleting a number of off-topic and otherwise worthless posts, as well as a number responses made by other forum members to these deleted posts.
This cleanup process is not perfect, and it's possible that I may have inadvertently deleted a few otherwise legitimate posts. If you find that your own report was also deleted, please don't take it personally.

Here's what I think. If Walter is truely LE, he won't be around long. I know that lE does monitor the boards and this one is no exception. So it won't be long before LE gets it's panties in a wad over Walters posts and makes a real effort to find who he is and take action. So Watler, you should be very careful if you are who you say you are. Just a guess on my part.

Thank you for the education you are providing.
Scratch the e-mail off your list of possible means of communication on this subject. For example, Yahoo mail and a few other "anonymous" e-mail providers, carry your computer's IP information within the the "header" of the e-mail message.
It is better to use PMs on the boards like this one, where servers are located OUTSIDE of USA. Of course that still leaves you with the problem of verifying the "credentials" of the person your are communicating with, but at least you are nto leaving footprints that lead right back to your door.

Oh, I agree, but Admin stated that they wanted all that info in the other forum. I'd rather have him post his info somewhere, rather than not post at all.
Okay boys, I hit up Western and LE was so hot that in one block near Vernon and Western four different patrol cars had four different individuals stopped and handcuffed. Man, I went down Figueroa as well. It was hot in the 40's, however, LE was all over the females like a rat love peanut butter.
So, after trying these two tracks, I said let me go down Jefferson and sure enough it was hot between Crenshaw and La Cienega on Jefferson. I passed because we were out in waves. Blknce's report was very informative in terms of police activity along Western Avenue. If the police cars were B&W with no light bars; then chances are it was the divisional uniform officers assigned to special problems or special enforcement. They don't handle or answer radio calls at all. Hence, their hands are free to do what they want in terms of "obs" activity. That is LAPD colloquialism for "self-initiated" investigations.
This is why they will suddenly appear in droves and start stopping every car that looks "suspicious". That usually will drive away hookers, street dealers and johns for a few hours to a few days. Even as an LAPD cop, I don't know the schedule of another division's vice or special enforcement team. I can make guesses though based on the inner pulse.
If you see 4 door police package cars that are not B&W---for example, solid grey, dark blue, black. That will be the Metropolitan Division officers. They are the same uniformed LAPD officers---all are P-3s. (2 stripes on sleeve). They are called the "glory boys". They don't answer radio calls, they spend their whole careers doing special assignments, some surveillance, special enforcement duties, SWAT, mounted police, lots of cool training, exercise while on duty.
These guys are noticeably different in demeanor when they jam you. They are more militaristic, don't talk much trash like the local divisional cops, they're in good shape. Be careful, these boys will pin anything they can on you. I've known a few who might find a small bindle of coke or crank tossed by another crook or maybe your prostitute passenger. These guys will pin the drugs on you to make sure you're fucked and that you'll never come back in the neighborhood looking for poon.
"The Word Game"
Here's a bit of advice for you guys on the hunt. When you initiate contact with a prostitute, your chances of hitting up a sting undercover is always present. I'm preaching to the choir on this. Be aware that some misinformation is out there that the cops cannot initiate the overt criminal act because it's entrapment. That's bullocks my friends.
Typically, prostitutes will wait for the john to initiate the topic of sex for pay. The city attorney asks for the cops to try and get the female pro to bring up the sex for pay issue first because it makes a stronger case and shows intent.
The exact mechanism goes with the female sting officer trying to bust your ass. She is trained to try and lure you into initiating contact and uttering the sex act for pay. Again, it makes a stronger case against you.
There is the "Word Game" which is when a Mexican standoff occurs. The john is feeling out the pro to see if she's an undercover LE. The stinger is trying to convince the john that she's a real pro and at the same time trying to get him to bring up the sex act and money.
Both parties are hesitant in bringing up the sex act for pay topic and they banter around using non descript nomenclatures for sex like, ". So you looking for something? You wanna chill out for a bit? " Such neutral yet suggestive statements do not exclusively demonstrate or describe prostitution. These are arguable in court, but the City attorney an DA's office prefer cleaner cases than ones with holes. The word game creates too many holes.
So a police stinger can articulate all of this in her exaggerated report against you. You may pull up to her and not say a word. Just smile or ask, "you need a ride? ".
She may just go right into dialogue and say, "You looking for a date? " "You wanna blowjob? "
She hopes to now get you to paint the picture more and bring up money. If you don't, she'll bring up the rest of the elements of the crime and if you accept, you are arrested, booked and ready to appear in court. In her report, she'll write a bunch of conspiracy crap about how her expertise--training and experience revealed that you were employing the "word game". She'll write something like this in her report--I've read this sort of crap:
"I observed a male subject driving north and south on Figueroa between 54th and Slauson in a slow, meticulous manner. He continued to make eye contact with me on several occasion and circled the block I was standing on. In my expertise, this manner of driving is indicative of a subject seeking prostitutes. The subject pulled up to me and rolled his window down. I smiled and said, 'Hello'. The subject asked me if I needed a ride. I observed the suspect leering at my chest and groin area while smiling intently. The subject appeared nervous and kept checking his side and rear view mirrors. The subject did not say anything else. In my expertise, he was employing the 'word game' to disclose whether I was an undercover police officer and to avoid arrest for prostitution. I probed the investigation to circumvent the wordgame by asking him, 'Do you want a blowjob? '. The subject stated 'yes'. The subject would not ask or initiate conversation on money. I asked him if I would get anything in return for the blowjob (Street vernacular for oral sex). The subject stated, 'We'll talk some more. Why don't you can get in first'. I feared for my safety and based on my training and experience, patrons of prostitutes have been known to kidnap or assault prostitutes in their vehicles. I remained outside the vehicle and advanced the investigation by asking, 'Give me 40 dollars for the blowjob'. The subject nodded 'yes' and motioned for me to come inside his car. I uttered an arrest signal to hidden patrol units 'Do you know time it is? ' At that moment, the suspect appeared startled and began to drive away. Patrol units stopped the suspect one block south of Slauson. Suspect was arrested for soliciting a prostitute 647(b)PC. "
Don't be fooled by the judicious nature the police try to paint regarding their vice operations. They will exaggerate and blow things out of proportion.

Last I heard the courts shot that down.
The car impound law was overturned in a Oakland case last year. The cops can hold your car for 48 hours however. But the cops cannot impound and sell your car.
On Saturday the 710 was closed between the 105 and 91, on the 105 and 91 there were signs telling people the 710 was closed, use Long Beach Bl. I wasn't actually going to hit LBB, I was dog tired but now I had too. About 11 pm and only about 4-5 girls out. I'm suprised that none of the managers were smart enough to have their whole stable out there, the traffic was like it is at 5 pm on a weekday and LE was nowhere to be found.

The mayor of Lynwood stated they have cameras in place at the corner of Long Beach Blvd. and Compton Ave. I went by there this afternoon and sure enough they are in place and I wasn't TOFTT, but doing a little investigating as these cameras can cost up to $20,000 apiece. There are currently four or five cameras installed along LBB and nine more are to follow in the coming months. I would suggest MY FELLOW MONGERING BROTHERS: LEAVE LONG BEACH BLVD ALONE. The way the camera system works is that they point out the potential John and before you know it you might be cited because you're caught right on camera. Just be careful boys. Peace.
