It's Officially an Epidemic!
http://money.cnn.com/2013/03/21/news/economy/stripper-labor-rights/index.html?hpt=hp_c2
You know this 'stripper as employee' thing is gainin steam when you see a CNN article on it! Obviously the dancers who are pursuin these lawsuits are the ones who don't make any $! But what's really fucked up is that if they succeed, they'll completely ruin the SC biz!
Dancers should want to be independent contractors. Many (if not most) strippers have a regular job, so dancing is just a way to get side $. The LAST thing they should want to deal with is all the red tape that comes w / being an employee. The biggest problem will be taxes! Do strippers really want to fill out W-2s & have FICA deducted from what they earn?
Just like X Facta said, the only people who'll win in this situation are the greedy-ass lawyers representin these lame dancers! If all strippers become employees, say goodbye to high mileage & say hello to higher prices for admission, dances, drinks, VIP, etc so the clubs can pay the extra overhead.
Only in America.
This is a bad as a divorce. Suing epidemic
The lawyers are making all the money! Only the strong will survive. Support you local watering hole,"with a pole". Let's keep EI jumping. MDC
You Hit the Nail on the Head!
The real danger behind these lawsuits is that you could eventually have national law classifyin strippers as employees. If that were to happen, like in many other industries in this country, you'd make it impossible for the little guy to run a SC! So only big companies like Scores & Hustler would have the means to pay dancers salaries & benefits. The funny thing is, like WB says, then strippin would prolly become just like P4P in this country: you'd have underground clubs poppin up everywhere with the dancers gettin paid out of tips only minus house fees, like always.
These females claimin that they're employees of the clubs are doing what young, lazy chicks tend to do: focusin on a short-term goal while igorin the bigger picture! These lawsuits will only make strippin a much shittier deal for most females.
I'd like to see the state that issue's an unemployment check to a stripper. What strippers fail to realize is that the employers must pay into the unemployment service most PG county clubs are unregistered or registered as dancehalls not SC's add in probationary periods and there's no reason to believe that they will ever see a unemployment check or anytype of benefit, most full time dancers don't pay any taxes wait until they find out that having a job takes away they're free care and puts the onus on them to either buy healthcare or pay the fine. Like I said a smart Manager could avoid this suit with a five minute meeting.
Recommendations on hole in wall in DC area or surrounding
The Strip Club employee law WILL NOT apply to hole in the walls. The best way to put it is the stark differences between Hole in the walls downsouth and Gentleman's clubs.
For example there's a Hustler Club in East Saint Louis about a block away from a hole in the wall that I heard about from a now defunct Black strip club review site called Darkside strip club reviews. I didn't go to the Hustler club but I did go to this hole in the wall called the Soft touch that Darkside recommended that actually looked abandoned. I went in the middle of the day and I was the only customer, I was about to leave and this chick from Memphis offered ITC and said that I could pay her if I was satisfied. She fucked the shit out of me and I could've said I wasn't satisfied and walked out, I'm cheap but honest so I paid her.
In Jackson MS there's an "upscale" club called Dolls. I paid 7 dollars for a coke and left after a few minutes I went right next door to Tiffany's and analed a chic from chicago in the bathroom. Same thing happened in New Orleans heard about a hole in the wall that I assumed to be one of the many buildings that weren't rebuilt after Katrina so I went across the street to an upscale club walked right out and went to the club I heard about that I assumed was open and fucked a green Houstonian for $20.
Same thing happened in many cities down south. Hell even in DC I've been to the Camelot once on Business, I've never been to the Royal Palace, or Good Guys (even though I fucked a girl on her way to audition there) but I've been to damn near every hole in the wall in a fifty mile radius of DC.
The reason for the E. I. 's popularity is because they added a measure of "quality control" that they didn't have before. Before a year ago This QC was another club that I used to frequent. I know for a fact that although the E. I. And other even better clubs existed before the crowd that went to the Camelot wouldn't be caught dead in the E. I. And vice versa.
Which one or few would you recommend (hole in the wall)?
5/24/13: A day in the life @ the E.I.
Off a recommendation from OM78, I traveled to the NE side of town to get something for the head.
Much to my amazement, less than 8½ minutes later I was out the door.
Whew! A healthy dose of relief . . . head-job completed!
("More is better than less because if there's more less stuff, then you might want to have some more.")
Me and the Li'l man were pleased, but: We want more! . . . . We want more!
Being in the vicinity of the E.I., I decided to stumble in and chill.
Dammit it was too early, slim pickins, and all the good stuff was taken and hemmed up in the corners.
Patiently I waited, and the females started to trickle in, slowly but surely.
Personally, I like'em slim and trim, built for performance, but I won't shy away from a nice thick one from time to time.
After several conversations and a pocket full of numbers I was pushing hard for take out.
(Yep, they have pens and paper on all tables; day shift only)
In the E.I. timing is of the essence, after all shift change is around 7nish.
Found a short thick'um that needed transportation to her next shift at another club.
The plan was to roll out at seven; arrangements were made for a pit stop en route . . . Cool
As fate would have it, things did'nt turn out as planned.
It was 6:15 and a dance fell on my lap! A slim goody, built for performance!
Twenty minutes later we were out the door.
X . . . Thick'ums, I'll be back
Any word on whether extras are available at Royal Palace
In there the other night and the girls were pretty attractive and a few were real friendly. Anyone know whether any are available for more than a dance? Whats the story there? Anyone got any info on Layla?
Can I get the full name of the EI?
