Under the law, a crime is committed when the suspect agrees to the sex act and the fee, Cook said.
It's far different than what I understood the law to be. I thought there had to be more to the actual transaction than just an offer / fee agreement, like actual $ changing hands? Or is this state specific?
Here's the Mass state law regarding Engaging in sexual conduct for a fee; https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartIV/TitleI/Chapter272/Section53A.

I'd imagine a monger with money or a good lawyer friend can get that law repealed / rewritten on first amendment grounds.
And you would be wrong, there is nothing in our first amendment rights that protects anyone from when we speak to or text LE that we are offering to commit a crime or do something that is unlawful. To change or amend the Constitution first amendment rights would take a two thirds approval vote of states or congress.
http://www.abc6.com/story/39781464/3-arrested-in-norton-prostitution-sting
Great use of the "Drug Task Force". You would think there are a lot of other criminals they should be pursuing given current issues with drug abuse.
What a spectacular waste of time and money and the unnecessary destruction of three lives.
And so the Drug Task Force didn't have anything more important to do, like maybe work on some opiod related arrests? You know, just a thought since 5 people a day are dying from it in Mass alone.
I thought this kind of nonsense went away with the demise of Backpage. Really gets my blood boiling. All I can figure is the hotel management reported problems and asked for help. Why else would the Norton (yes, Norton MA, population 20 K) feel the need to entrap men into their town by posting fake ads? Surprised they didn't call it "human trafficking" like all the others do.

You literally can't resist can you? I saw that post and I knew, 100% that you specifically were going to be a dick about it. There are probably more non cops working in police stations than cops. Since such a high percentage of cops can be absolute assholes do you think working with them on a daily basis would generally make one be more, or less, sympathetic to the cause of police missions?
This is why you will never get off moderation.

Recent bust for house in Salem, MA with ties to Beverly. I have dabbled in that sleepy-town which also has gangs though, but was never aware of a residence used for escorting. The couple is young compared to many charged with these charges, ashame. Below is a link to one of the news articles, Masslive and wickedlocal reporting sites also have articles:

If you have been with kayla noel brown, get yourself tested. As she is HIV positive and has hepatitis c. She is a heavy intravenous drug addict (she is the same girl that beat and robbed a 94 yo woman at cvs in quincy last year. (just Google her name kayla noel brown and see for yourself). Her grandfather bill brown (a regular at rags tavern in quincy) is her pimp. When she has a jon over her house, she will ask the jon for the money and then say she is going to use the bathroom and will be back in a minute and the grandfather (bill brown) will come in the room and say he is calling the police. She can be seen walking up and down mass ave and newmarket with her sickly looking boyfriend looking for car sex. When she has a jon pick her up at her house she has a gps app on her phone and her grandfather bill brown will follow her and her jon and he will watch her. You have been warned.

Human trafficking in Florida massage parlors: What we know about arrests on Treasure Coast.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office hosts a news conference Feb. 19,2019 detailing a local human trafficking ring that was busted across Treasure Coast, Palm Beach and Orange counties.
HANNAH SCHWAB.
Law-enforcement agencies across the Treasure Coast began making arrests this week after an international human trafficking operation was tied to prostitution in Florida massage parlors.
Hundreds of arrests are expected in the coming days, including "major players" and prominent community members.
At least eight spas were closed after raids Tuesday.
The human trafficking ring has connections to China and New York, according to Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.
In Florida, the investigation reached from the Orlando area through the Treasure Coast to Palm Beach County.
Officials are in the process of seizing more than $2 million in assets.

One of the articles said they have him on camera doing a sex act as well. How did they get the camera in the place? Did the place have them already or did the police install them. I'm assuming the police installed them somehow. I always thought spas would be the safest but they are claiming hundreds of arrests soon.
So it looks like LE decided instead of shutting down the mp they would install hidden cameras and go after the regulars. This whole story is fucked up. You would think in a state where murder is legal under stand your ground the police would have more important things too worry about. Legalize it already!
The real question is how do we protect ourselves from the hidden cameras? Did the shop close down and the police went in over night to install the cameras? Any easy way to detect hidden cameras? I know they sell Wands that detect Rf signals but wanding the room trying to find a camera will prob make the provider nervous.
