I've used CL in NYC and in San Francisco often and with good results. I don't find the rates to be any lower than on the Boston board but there is a less BS.

Don't know about LA but, as with any service, you have to base your rates on what the local market will support.

If I understand the question correctly -- pimps and ho's compete with each other by flagging posts for deletion. It has gotten so bad (as I hear from some providers) that posts last only for minutes. So URL is still there, but when you click on it says it has been Deleted.

Meatman-around the country police departments have been trying to prove that hookers have been using CL for prostitution & they went to the webmaster of CL & told them they need to control there site or further actions will follow.So if you see an ad that say "STAFF DELETE" its from webmaster but if it say "FLAGGED BY USER" its probably a pimp or ho or an angry monger.CL has gotten so popular that rappers are talking about it in their songs & even the great HOWARD STERN even spoke on it a while back.So just be careful for future references cause there has been busts in Seattle,Nashville,Kansas city,Houston,Dallas & Las Vegas.

Even when I was using CL regularly I always tried to find a second source of info. City vibe or Eros are a good place to check. You can also look in TER. Even f you don't have access to reading full reviews you can at least see if a woman is listed. I've found that most of the legitimate girls I've met on CL where either listed on other sites or had their own sites.

As far as pricing goes, remember that, once a CL girl approaches the $250 to $300 range there are many legitimate, well reviewed ladies available without taking the CL risk.
