1. It's not about price and quality of service in DC. It is about availability. If I want to see a really hot girl (Thai or Korean) I now go to NOVA and pay $$. It used to be that there were really hot girls available in DC. That is no longer the case no matter what the price is. I reiterate it ain't the price.
2. Can we stop this endless discussion of economics and get back to the stated purpose of this Forum!

If you start with a baseline of $160 and add two percent per year you get $195 after 10 years and $215 after 15 years. So adjusted for a (very modest) rate of inflation that $160 session you enjoyed with a smoking hot spa girl during Bill Clinton's first term should require a couple of Franklins and a Jackson.
As the original poster noted, prices in other cities have increased far more than they have in D.C. In Atlanta, for example, the absolute hottest spa girls in town can be found at the Gold Spa -- where a session will set you back between $250-300. At the high end of that range the price is nearly double what the cheapskates are still trying to get away with paying in D.C. But for that kind of money you get to choose from a lineup of stunning girls who actually look like the totally bogus photos you see in the online bait and switch ads.

We have more educated people earning higher salaries. We have lower unemployment and stronger housing prices. Yet when it comes to the Asian spa scene we can't scrape up enough dough to convince the good looking girls to work here.
Why do you think that is? All those well-educated rich guys have to be getting laid someplace. If it's not the Asian spas, who are they paying for good sessions with an attractive provider?

However I will say this, the economy is very scewed up and most stores, resturants, etc have lowered prices to "get people to spend", is this market actually any different? Now, I am not saying drop prices, but the 160 is very good if you ask me, I mean, 100 bones 5 to 8 times a day sounds like 800 bux a day, not bad by my estimate. Besides, for 230 to plus around here a guy can get GFE. Not a sermon, just a thought(heheheeh), but I do get your point.

there are a lot of guys, a lot, who pay more than the going rate. They have money, and it is not an issue. I had a spa girl tell me of a guy from Florida who tipped her $700 to snort lines off of her body and then do the deed.
Or another guy who would see her twice in one day and tip $500 total. This happened every month or two, he would show up and look for her.
Providers who are very young and pretty can make a lot of money, and guys tip them more just to get their attention.
I know of a guy who visits the same provider every day, for over a year. He may have issues, sure, but he also has $$$.
On another board I wrote of a nineteen year old Korean beauty who (many years ago) made over $100k many months at a spa up north. Guys would tip her all kinds of money, and I know she ended up marrying a millionaire customer.
This stuff is all around.
All good conversation, but we've have developed multiple tangents here.
The point of my original post was that if we continue to resist inflation price increases, it aids in us ending up in the situation we are in. I'm not saying it is the actual cause of the situation....I'm saying it contributes to it greatly...probably more than we realize or are willing to admit.

Hey guys, we're always going to be skirting legalities when it comes to this. And the spas will also. Bottom line is, they will be more willing to handle the risks of the trade if they are getting the dollars they want and if we are willing to give them.
We pay the least in the nation, yet we want the most, under difficult circumstances. Why would they continue here when there is so much more fertile ground elsewhere?

From this I infer that if I'm willing to spend that kind of money I can have a girl friend experience someplace that's not a spa.
My question is simple: What's the next step up from the Asian spa? Where, exactly, should I look for a girl friend experience in the $200-250 price range?
Surfing over to Echo Romeo Oscar Sierra dot com and clicking on the Asian category I see listings for a couple dozen girls. Almost all are offering incalls and prices range from the low $200s to about $300.
I have diligently read all the old posts, and there is precious little coverage of these girls. Can anybody provide any information about this segment of the market?

I know what you are talking about but those Asian girls are actually escorts and require screening and is not anonymous like going to an AMP. The ones that don't are either a rip-off or are risky or are old and ugly. I'd love to try out Asian Exotics as I have a thing for Thai girls but they require references which I don't have besides AMPs or employment information which they won't accept because I'm self-employed and work from home.
Tales of the DC AMP's demise are greatly exaggerated. CoCo of Asian Mist is my new ATF. I recommend her highly.

What an interesting set of questions. First of all ... that segment of market is very segmented.
#1 There are traveling indyes, and they starts from $.8 hourly.
#2 There are indyes who are resident on permanent basis, and usually they starts from $$.5 hourly.
#3 There are agencies, which starts from $$.0 hourly.
#4 Other, and I'll not consiter them
I beleive that You will find #1 @cheap hotel in 99% CASES, and #2 and #3 - they do rent apartments often.
Advantages of that segment are : You may get combination of two for one hour, like: 2 pops, or 2 bjobs, or pop+bjob.
Goung to that segment absolutely means no TS. Shower is offered, but, in the case of #2 and #3, You, probably, will get fresh towel, and, probably, You may get [s]slightly[/s] used towel in the case of #1.
No hot towels, and cleaning could be done with just a cleenex or brownies, but You always can get second and third shower.
Mediocre massage, and usually it is too short.
Rushing - especially for #1.
GFE - I know couple of asian providers, who could be considered as real GFE. However, I've got that GFE effect on secons/third visit, and through extended hours. It is very possible get GFE with #2, it is possible with #3, but it is rather rare at #1

Wow, a lot has changed while I was out of the country. Granted, I never enjoyed the DC scene much and rarely went, but always planed on visiting the 8th st place. Is the Green door still open? I can't believe 1829 is closed. I'm curious about the N. Cap place though, as it's new to me.
Anyway, I guess my post is really to gloat, as I had the pleasure of visiting Thailand during my travels. After that, I don't think I'll ever be able to step back into the DC underground. I would advice you all to take a little trip if possible. Plane tickets are not that expensive and you will have some amazing experiences for fraction of the DC cost. Not everyone can get away, I know, but for those that can, it's money a lot better spent than in DC.

I've never been to an AMP before and am considering giving it a shot. I moved to DC a few months ago so I don't really know too many people here (well enough to bring up this subject anyways.) So I figured I'd see if I can get some assistance here. I assume PMs are probably the best way to go about it, but I was just hoping to get some general info on some places to go, and the best way to go about it. I am an absolute noob in this kinda thing so I would appreciate any help.

Very nice place, parking was a little trouble, got few tickets there behind post office, entry very private unlike NoVa places, never got chance to try mamasan, but got to date one of the girls for a while back in late 2005. Think Julie was her name. After that 2006 human trafficking charge, place got closed, then I've seen sign with some middle eastern name in 2007, I don't know what's there now. I think mamasan is back in Korea, becaue she was facing serious jail time for that charge. Too bad.

I do not really know about those from BP, but ... based on my experience with two providers from eros: cheap scented candles, mediocre massage, hj only - absolutely no pop, no bj. Too many words on ad is a way to increase price. Also ... both providers was kinda old and in very bad shape, not fat, but flabby.

Oh for the good old days! Konie at CPHC delivered two of the best AMP experiences I've ever had.
I've had some bad yellow fever the past few weeks, and this time went took a trip to Rhode Island for a change of pace. Met up with Jenny. .5 for 1/2 hour option, but 1. 3 for FS. Didn't have the best attitude until the show was over. Decent massage.

I consulted a few blocks from there. They had 19-22 yo consistently who did FS and gave GFE including Rimming. The good old days. In Fact they gave out a card like you get a subway where if you buy 10 sandwiches you get the 11th Free! Awesome.
The one they opened up near 1223 has mostly older women in their 30's. Too old for tastes. I can get that anywhere.

Visited an old friend in Tenleytown about a week ago. They're still around, and while not Asian, not a bad alternative. From the sounds of it when I was there, a fair amount of girls were working, and they hadn't had much business.
If I didn't hear the name of someone working who I'm familiar and happy with, I'd have tried any number of the ones I'm not used to. Variety is the spice of life.
