Having been in the hobby for a while, I've come to some general observations regarding rates, as they relate to this particular conversation.

- Providers who charge above the market rate generally have to travel, (unless they are off-the-charts attractive). This is why most $300 escorts are also *traveling* escorts. A single city usually doesn't support that price level.

- The Internet has lowered the barriers to entry for women who want to casually try escorting. Twenty years ago, it was something of an ordeal. Now it is much easier to try it out, so the supply of escorts has increased. This has a downward effect on prices. (And the economic slump of post-2008 exerts even more downward pressure.)

But.

- Mature (35+) providers who have a high level of education sometimes charge slightly more than the market rate. This isn't a reflection of "how hot" they are, but of some other economic factors:

A.) Mature providers often have another steady source of income. (I knew one in the local market who was a white collar sales professional.) This means that they evaluate their time (again, irrespective of looks) as being more valuable. If you have a conventional income of $75K to $100K per year, the $60 sessions simply don't make much sense. You could make more money per hour in your "day job". This is a common reason behind the older providers who seem to be charging more than their youth and looks might justify: For them, the hobby is only an extra source of marginal income. They don't need to make a lot of money here.

B.) Mature providers typically see older hobbyists, who have more $$ to spend. You can bet that the 40-year-old MILF provider isn't seeing many 28-year-old clients. She is mostly seeing guys over 50. All things being equal, older men have larger disposable incomes.

- Regarding Sinful Dreams:

- I haven't seen Sinful Dreams. I like the under-30 "spinner" types. While SD seems like a classy lady, my tastes run elsewhere. So I am basing my impressions on what I see online.

- My guess, though, is that her prices are based on A and B above.

- My guess is that SD has a small, regular client base that doesn't grow much, but doesn't fluctuate much, either.

- Sinful Dreams seems to be honest and exactly what she represents herself to be. Like she says, she isn't trying to be all things to all people. I would classify her as a "niche" provider. She is competing for the mature clients, who are not necessarily looking for 21-year-old spinners.

-The older guys, from what I have heard, are more focused on a broad range of companionship factors, and often eschew the younger providers that the majority of us find exciting. They also want to spend more time with a provider. They aren't "30 minute men". This can also be a factor behind somewhat higher rates.

All non marginal service economies are driven by the consumer. Chicks have associated costs, gym membership (if they are smart) incalls, phones, condoms, ect. But they have no marginal cost on their basic service, their CPU (Cost per Unit) costs don't depend on a wholesaler.

As has been stated over and over, SD can charge what she wants, it's her punanni, her time, her choice. The idea of "too much" is meaningless, she charges what she thinks she can get.

When mongers think with the big head they get more bang for the buck. I say this over and over and over, I can go longer without pussy than they can without paying bills. Don't blame them for an price increases, it's driven by the consumer and his point of pain.

The question of price will always be contentious between mongers and providers. The less we pay the more we can screw. While the more they earn the less they have to work or if they work the same amount the more they earn. It's capitalism at it's finest.

I am a strong believer that you get what you pay for. This opinion stands for myself and other I'm sure. I don't see what the point in bringing it to everyone's attention. Most guys have nothing to say about rates but there always is that percentage that does and if they do they should just keep on scrolling down the page not make a feild day of it.
